Didnt trout and canelo also weigh 171/172 for their fight? Or am I wrong here? If not thats surprising that FRoch is at 168 whils weighing the same

    What does this even mean?

If he starts eating at a calorific surplus then his body is going to support more mass whether you think so or not

Ignorant how? There's a reason boxers don't walk around like bodybuilders, it slows you down and reduces your stamina. he can put on more mass but I don't think that'd be a good idea.

Looks like people are misinterpreting what I was saying.

    Nobody misinterpreted what you said

Your explanation of what you meant is not what you actually wrote

100 plus punches in the eighth round of his fight with Stevens, unleashed fight ending punches in the eleventh against Murray... I'm all for finding legitimate weaknesses in a fighter, but purely imaginary ones don't cut it.

I also agree that his conditioning is excellent, but so far he's always fought fights at his own pace and controlled the action.

Well that's what I meant. I thought it was completely obvious that I didn't mean it was physically impossible for him to gain muscle/weight.

Hmm. Highest I've seen Froch is 176 and GGG was 173 for Rubio. What fight was Carl at 179?

If GGG has 8lbs less to cut then that means his post rehydration weight will be higher. 170lbs is not his critical mass.

    Carl Froch @ 168 = 7% bf, Golovkin @ 168 = 12% bf

Carl Froch is naturally bigger no matter which way you cut it, slice it or dice it. WEIGHT isn't everything, body fat needs to be taken into account.

Froch is older and past best in my opinion, with far more wear and tear, but take a further look and look at the big punchers Froch has walked through, look at the better opposition Froch has faced and beaten, look at the fact Golovkin hasnt really been in with anyone as tough or as hard hitting as Froch.

Froch is past best in my opinion, but I doubt this would look much different to when Abraham stepped up and for the first time met a big strong SMW like Froch who could walk through his shots and land his own.

I expect Golovkin will be pushed back, caught far more than normal and start going on the back foot before being soundly outpointed

    Froch clear UD
