This question puts me in a delima. My stance with Froch has always been, "Until they actually beat him, Froch beats everyone," because of his ability to win seemingly on-paper bad match-ups. But the man himself said when he was fighting that he wanted no part of GGG. So what do I go with, my gut, of Froch's? I think I'll lean slightly toward Froch here.
How do you call out your mando...oh you mean after Canelo dropped his belt to GGG instead of fighting....real Mexican styleee....
His biggest win to date and literally his first serious step up was blown up Welterweight Kell Brook.
No he wasn't. Collecting paper titles may deceive clueless people like you, but it certainly won't deceive me. This is how it works and this is free education for airheads that quickly break down before Twitter hype like you. Hopkins unified the division, Taylor beat him, Pavlik beat Taylor, Martinez beat Pavlik, Cotto beat Martinez, Alvarez beat Cotto and Alvarez (prepare your tears) defended the official #1 spot after giving your farce hero two free paydays. Devouring tomato cans and hopeless opponents like Lemieux and so forth was only attracting morons on twitter. People that know the sport knew exactly what his team was doing by signing junk fights like that.
I hate his clearly simple minded fans more-so than I hate him. He is a great human being and a great representative of the sport. But lets be realistic here, he has a junk team that was primarily focused on social media hype and less on actual serious fights. A quick look at his record and it takes no brains to realize what is going on there. Even the most diehard sensible(probably 3 out there) Golovkin fans know this and blame his team for it.
You really are a lazy and unimaginative person if this best you can do in response I'm not convinced you're actually setting a high bar here...
When you bring up his fight with Rubio, an opponent that was considered a joke by literally everyone when he fought Pavlik HALF A DECADE before the farce fought him, as a serious fight, you know his record is a joke.
Years ago I would've said Froch but after watching GGG closer and re watching a lot of his fights I think I would pick GGG to win a close decision. He wouldn't go in there trying to blast Froch out he would use the same approach he did with Lemieux and out box him only difference is Froch is a lot better than Lemieux and would make it a close fight.
