Hold on now. So let me get this straight. Canelo v. Smith did 250k PPVs? If you add up GGG v. Jacobs and GGG v. Lemieux whats the total? Let a brother know please. Id really love to hear your calculations.

Where did you get that number from? Can I get a source/link on that or is your imagination running really wild today?

You might want to try "you're" next time. It makes you look more educated and like you have a basic understanding of the English language. It might help someone take you seriously as well. Thanks!

70/30 is a GREAT SPLIT for GGG...

His initial asking price was 17% or 12 mil before he got the WBC title.

And the fact GBP aint trying to drag him down to 155 is another concession on their part.

GGG don't care if Alvarez only does 200-400K without another name opponent.

He only does 150-170 with a name opponent.

So...he made in the neighborhood of 10 mil vs Brook when all was said and done, 7 mil vs DJ when the smoke cleared.
VS Alvarez.....if this breaks 1.5 mil....which is a conservative estimate IMHO, he stands to make in the neighborhood of 20 mil+.

30%.....likely comes really close to equaling GGGs CAREER earnings.

And a rematch would likely see him get 50/50 especially if he gets that WBO strap late winter.

Cause the rematch would have to be Cinco de Mayo.

There is a very glaring difference between ggg vs Canelo and ward vs kov. I hope you can see that. Ward is a very crafty fighter, much more so than Canelo, and can basically force a fight into his style. I'm not too sure Canelo has that type of talent. Another note is that ggg is fundamentally better than kov. He cuts the ring off well, had a great jab and mixes his shots.

GGG did less PPV buys vs one of his better opponents than Canelo did vs one of his worst opponents. Try to let that sink in before you continue to making a fool of yourself.

Also, Canelo just broke the 1 mil PPV mark vs an opponent most said they didn't want to see.

    agreed

with one caveat--i don't actually think this needs to be a "cash out"; the reason i say this is that Canelo is young (young with a lot of miles, but still young) and so let's fast forward by three years: Canelo is just 30 and he's got two losses on his record--Mayweather and GGG. The GGG loss will push Canelo's stock down temporarily, but not for very long. Those two gilded names on his resume are such that regardless of W/L/D, it's only positive (in the long run). What's more, it's not as if Canelo--having lost to GGG--is going to be compared to someone who did happen to beat GGG.

GG isn't the draw. And how did GG Jacobs do ppv wise? Canelo sold 300k ppvs against a no name.

You guys talk about how Ward doesn't sell and how Wilder should fight Whyte to boost his brand lmao...and are now crying over GG having a chance to become the lineal MW champion of the world-you're crying over his pay split!!!??? Really. ****en hypocrites lol

GG brings nothing to the table in terms of ppvs. Nothing.

You can talk about who Canelo fought but even when Canelo fought a no name he sold at least 300k. Stop crying. GG Canelo 50-50? Foh. People pay to see Canelo not GG.

I don't say that to bother GG fans. GG accepted the deal and will be paid millions and he has a chance to make history by becoming the lineal MW champion of the world.

You told us how Wilder isn't a draw yet when you go by the numbers that GG Canelo should be 50-50!!!?? Foh with this hypocrisy.

SO, El Pollo's name gives him the right to own the referee, judges, boxing commission, everything? Make all the money? El Pollo will practice low blows like he saw SOB do, the referee will probably be Weeks..............

We all know how corrupt Vegas is..................

How many wins vs Middleweights does Canelo have? How many fights at the full 160 limit does Canelo have? Ill admit, starching Canelo would be impressive no matter what. But how come he didnt try to "starch" Andre Ward when he had the chance?
