Grab those WBC, WBO and IBF mw titles. Not to mention about a mega fight with Canelo.

Don't understand why people wants to see GGG fighting Ward or Froch @ 168 lbs when he hasn't finished his work @ 160 lbs.:think

I agree, he should stay at 160lbs cement the belts, make the history, keep his ko ratio record going for the highest ko ratio of a middleweight champion, try to surpass other mw record defences etc.

I can see why - he's that damn good that people dont see any challenges at all @ 160

His hardest fight at 160 seems to be getting the other champs in the ring with him

But as a small middleweight it's unfair people who expect him to step up and take on the best of the much bigger men

This isnt an Andre Ward who fought at 175 in the damn Olympics but is petrified of Kovalev

If he can get the fights to unify at middle then he should do so. But in reality it's easier said than done.

Andy Lee is the only title holder that seems willing to face GGG but that of course has now been cancelled as Golovkin is in mourning.

Cotto doesn't seem to want the fight no matter what the WBC has ordered. Quillin wouldn't fight Korobov let alone Golovkin. Jermain Taylor maybe out for the foreseeable future due to legal issues.

Canelo of course is fearless and would fight him but he's fighting Kirkland and may want to fight Cotto instead of Golovkin first.

Froch is at least willing and able which is quite frankly rare, Golovkin's options are limited because most don't want to fight him for fear of losing.

    Canelo
    Quillin, big IF
    Lee
    Lemieux
    Hassan N'Dam

All are good fights for Golovkin.

Once GGG grabs that mw WBC lineal title, things will be much easier for him.

Cotto vs TBA winner will have to fight GGG or vacate.

GGG is the mw WBC interim champ and the No. 1 mandatory challenger for the full mw WBC title.

Plenty of fights I would still like to see at 160 for him, even though I think he wins them all.

Golovkin is going to do a Klitschko, get all the belts and force MW to come to him.

Kovalev is going to do the same at 175 if he can get hold of Adonis's belt.

Blame the fans then (and the culture of what an L means to a fighter's marketability.) If boxing fans weren't so quick to label fighters that lose 'bums' or 'over-hyped-glass-jawed-frauds' you'd probably see more guys willing to take a chance and fight GGG.

The GGG fight with either Cotto or Canelo won't happen for a long time. Cotto-Canelo will happen in September. I see the earliest a GGG fight would happen with Cotto is late next year and with Canelo who knows? Canelo's promoter GBP will not let Canelo jump right into a fight with GGG if he beats Cotto. He's their cash cow and they would want easier fights and mandos for him. Canelo is still young they would have no problem waiting on GGG to get older. He's simply too high risk too low reward with PBF it was different he was the cash cow but not with GGG.

GGG should move up and fight Froch and not waste time waiting on Cotto or Canelo he's not young.

He has been chasing the Froch fight for the longest time now.

What he can do is take Cotto's belt, then the IBF and WBO. All roads would then lead to Golovkin.

Cotto is not fighting GGG before he fights Canelo. And the WBC will not strip Cotto if he has a fight with Canelo lined up. They want Canelo to be their champ.:deal

Better question: Should Golovkin stay at middleweight for the rest of his career?
