"Golovkin has to move up" -wrong. Lemme cut you off there. He actually doesn't, ever.

Fair point and look at what happened to K.P:patsch "I'm sitting at the bar on the inside":-(

Then back to IBs point most out grown the weight naturally or chase a pay day.

I want GGG to collect all the belts and then if the division dies, which it will not as new faces show up all the time, and if he wants to move let him move up then.

You never see as much pressure on any other athlete in another sport to move or change because he/she is simply better than the rest. Oh this pitcher should learn to pitch with his other arm or this football player should move from RB to wide receiver

Most recently AB moved up quickly and grabbed a belt and it sure helped him out with his career.....right:huh

But he was lineal and undeniably the man at the weight after defeating Khan and Matthyse in succession. You don't need to collect all four belts to become the man at the weight.

  6. If GGG doesn't move up and fight someone like Ward, he'll always be known as the Bum Killer.

I'm not understanding how Garcia collected all 4 belts at 140.

Bumlovkin doesn't have to move up. He can keep knocking over the HBO sanctioned TOMATO CANs until HBO decides on a better way to waste millions or until one of those TOMATO CANs derails the Bumlovkin hype train. So far, Team Triple Duck has been prescribed a winning formula. Why change now?

  12. IB says he's around 160, maybe GGG can face him next.

I don't know why there's this expectation nowadays that all fighters HAVE to move up at some point.

If Golovkin doesn't move up, I think we as fans, will miss out on seeing a great talent never go to a gutting 10-12 round wars.

I just don't think the guys such as BJS, CEJ and Jacobs are those guys. I think he can dominate them as well, fairly easy. The last few years have been fun, watching him seek and destroy competition but it's getting little old now. I want to see him go to war. Guys with bigger frames at 168 can give him that, or at least provide more challenge than the 160ers mentioned above.

I understand he doesn't have to move up and it shouldn't be required of a fighter to do so, but why wouldn't you as a fan want to see that? Cleaning out 2 divisions as opposed to one will always cement his legacy more.
