    everytime we bring up lil gs "weak mw resume" we always hear a response that goes something like "well look at hopkins...its the same thing....weak mws".....

    but now beating his record is a "great accomplishment"? wow so basically lil g wants to see if he can beat more stiffs consecutively than hopkins did? awesome

    let us know when lil g goes up through 168-175 to face the best they have to offer......i wont wait...because he never will

    That's fair, but he took a broom to a slew of guys that were squarely in the B range when he fought them. (notwithstanding the very faded ATG who probably looms even larger on paper than Judah in terms of 'names' he beat)

    Mamba, Hurtado, Bramble, Leija, Tackie, Ruelas, Mitchell x2, González - that is too many decent scalps to amount to a 'cruel joke' - especially given the manner in which he dispatched most of them. Much the same as is now the case with GGG.

    Being compared with Finito is no insult, though many of those saying Golovkin is doomed to have a 'wasted career' probably don't even know who Finito is. :!:

    Yeah, probably Murray comes the closest and Murray is no Álvarez. Once again, shame about Pirog. :verysad

    Yeah, and I'll back him up on this.

    Thing about KT's resume is that a lot of the best names on his resume were past their best, if not completely done by the time he faced 'em.

    Bramble, Mamba, Gonzalez (who was never much beyond 135lbs), and Ruelas (see Gonzalez) all fit the bill. In terms of fighters in their prime, we've got Tackie, Urkal, Hurtado, Mitchell x2 and Judah. Solid collection, given the respective flaws of all the fighters in question, not the type of canon that ensures ATG status. 140lbs is pretty deep and there are more than a handful of guys with better scalps and bodies of work at the weight.

    Spewing idioacy. Golovkin doesn't have to move up. Breaking a record from an HoF like Hopkins is a great accomplishment. In 2 or 3 more years, MW will be a very good division. You'll have prospects being more accomplished, and the big fighters from 154 lbs. will move up.

    You also don't follow boxing at all since 168 lbs. is one of the weakest divisions currently. Abraham was top 3 in that division. :patsch

    I like how you didn't challenge me on Lomachenko beating Martinez is equivalent to Golovkin moving up and beating Sturm. So you seriously favor Sturm over Golovkin?
