"Golovkin has to move up" -wrong. Lemme cut you off there. He actually doesn't, ever.

Not many historians consider his actual full-fledged MW opponents to be all "bums".

If people insist on criticizing the quality of Lemiuex, Murray, Geale, and Macklin...I don't see very much better on Hagler's resume.

Really? Hamsho? Antuofermo? Minter? Roldán? Mugabi? The guys you named get unfairly and excessively criticized (mainly by haters, to discredit Golovkin) but each of them would lose to any of those.

And that's just a few that you named. The mistake that GG's fanatics are making is comparing GG's incomplete resume to a retired ATG's resume. He's still fighting which leads me to one thing. It's dick riding at its finest. No thought put into it at all.

I'm not as deep into boxing history as perhaps I should be, but it seems like you're viewing the past through rose-colored glasses.

Mugabi: No wins or close fights against anyone I've heard of.
Antuofermo: Better resume than Mugabi, but not impressive.
    Hamsho: Decent
Minter: No notable wins unless you count Antuofermo.
Roldan:........That's some boxing hipster stuff and you know it and that is all.

    P.S.
I'm not trying to say Hagler isn't a great fighter. I'm pointing out that if he's considered so great then it makes no sense to call for GGG to move up.
