They also still rate W. Klitschko as a great heavyweight.

    This is the problem i have with GGG. He was willing to make amends for the following guys;

    Brook
    Cotto
    Mayweather
    Pakman
    Bradley
    Chaves
    Retired Froch

    Ward? No thanks

    Lara? No thanks.

Amir Khan had the gonads to go after the golden goose. Why didn't GGG do whatever it took to get Ward into the ring? He binned that fight like a pure chump.

I bet you'd pick Soliman for the upset like you do everyone who takes on David, only to see him bludgeoned into a drooling bloody heap in the corner with his eyebrow torn off.

Khan didn't have the gonads to do a damn thing, it was either get KO'd by Brook low profile or get KO'd by Canelo high profile. It was more glamorous to go with option B.

If he "cleans" up 160 go clean out 168. There's no point to stay at 160 anymore. That's the problem Kostya Tyzsu faced, he stayed in a division his entire time instead of moving up to at least try and chase greatness. When Forrest was champion, he should have moved up and tried to snatch that title, since Forrest clearly wanted revenge since the amatuers. Had he went and attempted that, win or lose his legacy would have been a hell of a lot better than it is now. Plus I can see GGG getting bored and underestimate a guy and BOOM! It's Tyson-Douglas all over again.

Not a wrecking machine Lemieux, but a baby Lemieux.
The same baby Lemieux that was made to look foolish in his next fight against Alcine.

Soliman's recent resume includes beating Sturm twice, as well as schooling Taylor very early before a freak injury and beating a decent prospect like Dom Wade.

Soliman beat Sturm so clean even the Germans couldn't take it off him.

Ward hasn't made 168 lbs. since 2013. He's about as legit of a LHW as you can get. :hi:

Also, Lara should move up to 160 lbs. and fight Derevyanchenko. Why doesn't he do that? He's currently in a division where he outright refuses to fight the other 2 beltholders. 154 lbs. is literally a dead division for Lara.

    ... :think

I'd be torn, actually. On the one hand you have someone that was KTFO by Anthony freaking Mundine years ago, now an elderly teeny-tiny midget with a crazy gorilla stance that makes him 'tricky' but not exactly untouchable, going up against someone in Lemieux who does have rock-your-socks-off power. So yeah, Lemieux by KO seems the obvious choice. On the other hand, you have a guy in Lemieux who never has dealt with high ring IQ's or spoilers very well (Alcine? Rubio?) in with perhaps the most absolutely maddening guy to be fought in the division. Soliman is a COMPLETE pain in the ass. I could see his antics getting under Lemieux's skin and throwing him off his game until it devolved into a foul-fest, where Soliman could hug and rabbit-punch his way to a psychological coup over Davey Boy, who's more of a pretty face and pair of dynamite fists than somebody with anything going on upstairs.

OOH! I've got it. Here's the perfect way of putting it:

could go like Casimero vs. Ruenroeng I, or Casimero vs. Ruenroeng II. :hey :deal

I thought Solomon should have been given the decision against Winky Stinky too.

He fought Mundine @ 168 his best weight class, as well as a class that Soliman was too small for

So, rewind then, what is the matter with my earlier outline for continuing to clean out 160 for years to come? How was that "not good enough"? Taking on newcomers (who will be established by the time he is done cleaning out the current crop of already-established contenders) isn't as good as arbitrarily going up to 168lbs to clean it out? Even if the new crop of young contenders @ 160lbs is better than all the champs at 168? How does that make sense?? :blood

He was willing to remain at 168 for GGG.

Triple Ham Man said '164' knowing full well it would squander any hope of the fight happening.

It was because of the experience with Rubio that he lost confidence and performed so poorly against Alcine, and its not like Alcine hasn't been known to inexplicably developed an occasional sturdy chin when against some fighters you're more than certain you thought would KO him, J-Rock went the distance with him as well, David has just been in with a rugged veteran who upset him, and he was afraid another rugged veteran would as well, remember like you said the other day, he was young and made mistakes. But that shouldn't mean Rubio doesn't get credit for that win, what should Khurtsidze be discredited for his recent impressive win over Douglas?

And for the record, I've never thought wade was decent, I expected Soliman to make him look bad.
