Guess who chose not to fight Golovkin when they were lineal champion(s)? And even then, did Cotto win more titles by beating the champion or by winning a vacancy?
Now that I've looked more closely, I'm convinced me that Cotto ranks higher on ATG lists than GGG. Thanks for sparking my interest.
He didn't bring his all but only lost 7-5 in rounds. Canelo couldn't even come close to running him over or hurting him.
Popular opinion and correct opinion are different concepts. Except a draw was still the most common result after discounting some of the incompetents who got 116-112.
You’re welcome. I’m always thankful myself when someone teaches me something I wasn’t aware of. I don’t agree with Cotto ranking higher though considering he chose to avoid the number one contender for that lineal championship. And then when you consider that the majority of his titles won weren’t taken from someone else, but instead won as vacancies. Can’t see Golovkin losing to a Sadam Ali either.
They would rather lose by forfiet than get goodboy'd. Canelo forfeited his lineal belt and Ring belt when he gave up his WBC belt to request 16 more months to build up his courage, and finish his PED research. What kind of lineal Champ is this? It wasn't like he was old or anything.
