Ward rapes GGG and exposes the hype. Can't see that fight happening until GGG has made his money and is ready to cash out.

2 highly skilled boxers going at it, plus both are with HBO, so the fight should be easier to make

Ward is the worst fight for GGG (as an opponent), probably has to go that far if he wants to fight someone decent though.

I'm highly interested too, Gennady. :good

  5. Ward has a glass jaw, I don't see him lasting 4 rounds against Golovkin

Just IMO, its a bad move for GGG. Just stay at middle and carve out a kingdom and lasting legacy there. Not enough fighters do that these days.

This needless weight jumping is going to get him a pointless L.

    Just imo.

Not saying I wouldn't be tuning in if he did lol... but I miss fighters just staying in one division and ruling it through thick and thin. And good fighters moving up losing fights they shouldn't be losing in a weight class they shouldn't be in.

He didn't say "I'm interested in facing the winner of Ward vs Rodrigez". What he said was: "This is interesting fight. Big interest for me. I think next year ...maybe...maybe" So right now his focus is on 160 and maybe next year he might consider moving up in weight

Highly interesting indeed... though i hope it can wait until GGG actually claims the throne at 160, for which his resumé will have to consist of a whole lot more than just the 1 legit contender he has on it so far...

  10. Ward won't fight against anyone before 2015. This fight will be canceled either and against GGG he would never fight .. he rather retires.

GGG v Quillin needs to happen before that. Get a clear no.1 in the middleweight division and then make a big fight between the middle and super middle kings.

    I know.

Boxing is so embroiled in politics these days that you can't even get two middleweights to fight each other.

These are the things that bring the sport down.
