Officially Canelo was given the split decision .

In reality no one believes he won that fight .

Why when has Golovkin ever fought at a catch weight like Duckweather?

Yes, sending an offer to someone who already has a fight set is a legit tactic. :nut

    Good question .

Unfortunately at this moment , he has no fights scheduled from what I can see .

Not surprised :verysad Fighters tend to stay the hell away from him .

They don't want to face the humiliation that Canelo , the Punisher, Ishe suffered.

Update : 5 days ago , Erisandy Lara tweeted to the world " BEST 154 IN THE WORLD "

He telling us something we all already know :yep

K2 could have negotiated the Ward fight for AFTER Bumlovkin Lemieux. They weren't interested in Ward AT ALL. Period, end of...

And RN could have sent an offer AFTER the 3G fight. Did they?

Not according to DH he is not. Oscar just called Smith the best 154 lb fighter in the world.

I'm a fan of both guys (that may be illegal on here) but I'm a bigger fan of Andre's.

I'm sick of explaining how both fighters were just posturing in the media and that a fight wasn't really viable.

Late last year, GG had a shot at the IBF title to add to his WBA belt, and he was in line to face the winner of Canelo-Cotto. So it wouldnt have been in his best interests to have pursued a fight with Andre for the early part of this year.

Anyone who thinks that Andre was serious and ready to face GG in the first half of this year, needs to take into account the following factors:

He'd only fought once in 19 months.

He hadn't fought at SMW for almost 2 years.

He requested 2 tune ups for Kovalev, because it's a big fight and he wanted to shake off the rust to get sharp.

Just a few months ago, he said he didn't feel as though he could make 168 anymore, because making 175 was hard enough.

If any knowledgeable person takes into account what's written above, as well as the fact that both guys have huge egos and outspoken managers, they will realise that despite who said what, a fight wasn't really viable because both guys were at completely different stages of their careers.

When did Mayweather ever beat a HOF/ATG fighter in his prime, not at a catchweight?

Again when has Golovkin ever fought at a catch weight?
