'golovkin is a 34 y/o hypejob who fights bums', so why canelo is so reluctant to fight him ???

The fight will get made when Canelo/Golden Boy wants it made. He's the A-side. And the older GGG gets the better the chances he'll be beaten. Likewise, the more Canelo fills out to 160, the better chances for victory. As much as you might not like or understand, boxing is a business and in business it's vital to make your move at the time which suits you best. Of course, at the heart of all this is an acceptance GGG is a real threat. Neither Canelo or his management are stupid and so realise this. They are merely maximising the reward while minimising the risk. I'm not sure why people struggle to comprehend this?

 

Belts mean virtually nothing anymore. This is the thing with GGG trying to unify. Great, good on you GGG but while it might buy a little bit of leverage come negotiation time, it's the networks and PPV numbers which hold sway over titles. You telling me a non-title fight between GGG and Canelo would make less money than one where belts were on the line? Because it wouldn't. And GGG uses the belts as excuses to fight the substandard boxers in the 160 division rather than move up to 168.

 

A few questions, genuine questions.

How much is this fight worth? Considering you and others say Golovkin isn't a star, fights bums, is a hype job and isn't proven. How much is this fight worth?

Was this offer was in Dollars or Pounds?

If GBP, Canelo and his fans say Golovkin is only worth 10% or 20%, let's say 20% for a moment and this offer of 12 million is genuine are you seriously telling me Canelo is getting paid 48 million for fighting a man who brings nothing to the table? No fans? No numbers? Nothing?

48 million? Really? Because these offers and numbers are not adding up for me when you put them together with what Canelo fans say Golovkin brings and what he is worth.

 

It's about the money and it's been about the money forget this bull**** about belts. GGGs team need to be realistic if 12 million is what you get for fighting someone who will make you the biggest star if you win then take it. After you become the star you don't bbe to make no concessions, I'm starting to think these guys don't wanna no risks unless they get life changing money for it. Your 34 with no elite name on your resume, the other guy is 26 why would you wanna play the waiting game with him his a star he don't need you.

From a business standpoint GGG should not accept 90/10! Sorry but Canelo is not as good and will never be as good as Mayweather. Yes Mayweather is an all time great, Canelo is just not at that level. Also GGG is a world brand that: Apple, Samsung and Jordan Brand all sponsor. I think that gives him more than just a 10% cut.

Brook has been looking for a big fight for a while and GGG gave him one. Right now England is the hot spot for boxing with the most champs. With GGGs popularity world wide and Brook being an unbeaten British fighter the numbers worked.

12 mill is life changing money and GGG is an absolute hypocritical coward for not taking it.
