Golovkin has weaknesses that can and will be exploited by Canelo and vice a versa. They are both equally as skilled only in different area's.
GGG can't be better by a significant margin since his speed and defense is not even on the same playing field.
Its an even fight. 50/50. The better man will win on the night and i don't see the result being controversial in the slightest.

Why would you drain a career MW to 154? That doesn't seem very honorable to me.

 

Speed is overrated. If you have power, timing, stamina and iron chin you can walk people down and break them down with ease.

 

Why would you expect a guy who's the A-side who started at 130 who went to 135, 140, 147 and 154 to fight in another weight class when he's already small at 154? That doesn't sound fair to me. You have to give something if you want the fight. GGG said he would go to 154 to make it so what's the problem?

 

I noticed you said added other things than just power. I'd rather have speed chin footwork ring IQ reflexes defense and counter punching but that's just me.

A champion should never have to drain himself to an unnatural weight. GGG fights at the MW limit if you want to fight him it should be at a weight he can make.

 

GGG hasn't needed to counter punch much, but he was rather good at it in the amateurs.

I agree with your assessment. GGG is the better boxer and harder hitter.

 

We shouldn't read anything into how canelo did against Khan, he started slow and had a good look at Khan. Soon as he settled in it was pretty much game over.

Their styles differ but both of them are elite, near enough as good as it gets. And these 2 styles together usually guarantee exciting fights.

Personally I just canelo is not bringing the best of himself to 160. His body needs to weigh this much but his power isn't making quite the same impact, his opposition is guna be just as heavy, hitting harder than previous guys and a lot of them are guna have reach advantages too.
