It looks like he is peaking about right now. He hasn't been in any wars, no nagging injuries come up, he doesn't look at all slower or weaker. I don't know why people pick on his age, this isn't a erik morales 34. Martinez became MW champ of the world at 36 and looked amazing doing it.

Didn't Max Kellerman talk about this? Maybe they screwed up his birth certificate in Kazakstan? Maybe he's only 28?:huh

He looked better in the Lemiuex fight. I think he didn't train as hard for this fight. He was slower and kinda soft around the chest and waist.

Fighters are "staying young" for longer, look at 36 year old Uchiyama

Yori Boy Campas looks prime when he's feasting on bums.

Very young 34, he's still hitting his peak. He has 5 more years to annihilate through 175. Once he has all the belts he'll move up and nothing will change, nothing.

Guys will just take worse beatings, he's so great fighting much bigger men means nothing. And i highly doubt anyone through 175 is close to his strentgh, he's a legit super human

We hardly got to even see him fight against wade though, it was only 1.5 rounds. He looked just as good to me, if not better.

Slow? His counter that knocked Wade down for the 3rd time was flawless and quick

I think he is close to his peak still but declining slowly. I wouldn´t put too much weight on Wade fight tough. He had decided to run his opponent over and to make a show. He didn´t even bother to study Wade in the first rounds, which has long time been his trademark strategy. He just wanted to floor his opponent brutally.

That's a dangerous strategy in the long run. Part of what makes him so good is his studied, intelligent approach. If he just goes full savage he is throwing the best part of his repertoire in the dustbin. Sooner or later he will run into a young lion that doesn't crumble and then ...

Yeah, but he doesn´t do that with better caliber opponents (Lemieux, Stevenson, Murray). I wish he keeps his composure and continues what he has done so far.

He doesn't look 34. He looks between 25 and 28 at most. Whether he's declining or not, i wouldn't know, he was much faster in the amateurs and at the beginning of the career, but it's too soon to judge.

From what I've seen of him training he just seems to train for power mostly now. 1s and 2s thrown with full force. He shadow boxes with good speed though.
