What's annoying is to group Froch and Ward like they're at the same level. Golovkin's fans know he wouldn't be the favorite against Ward, but Froch isn't Ward is he ?

The comp at 160 isn't good enough to be heralded by anybody.

A 31 y/o fighter should be a LOT further down the road as far as competition is concerned.

He can still take a fight at 168 and KEEP his lil 160 IBO WBA(special) title.

Anyone with eyes can take a look at GGG at any of his weigh ins...the Stevens one is available online right now.
He is fully fleshed out, fully hydrated yet still comfortably makes 160.
No doubt if the right package was on offer he could make 154.
Ridiculous for him to take on big super middles.

Remember what happened to Abraham when he stepped up?...and he was a huge middleweight ....

Lol yet people want him to fight a guy whos a natural super feather weight in Floyd. He needs to take his ass up. Now all of a sudden it matters what your "natural weight class is" get outta here with that ****.

Funny how certain fighters are required to "challenge themselves" by constantly moving up while others should stay put...regardless how WEAK their divisions are.

Golovkin looks small for 168. He is even smaller than Hopkins, Taylor or Pavlik, the best guys at 160 from the past.

Golovkin should fight Quillin next and afterwards a showdown with ***y Sergio.

That's his road. There is plenty of fights at 160. No need to move up at this point.

    GG isn't some kid...

He's 31 already..he doesn't have time to play around in a DEAD division like MW.

After Sergio and Quillan what else is there for him...??

    Sturm...Geal..Barker...:-(

Mayweather and Broner are constantly required to challenge themselves against bigger fighters.:deal

I don't see why GG shouldn't be held to the same standards.

I agree he's not a natural 168 pounder and of course going up to face Ward is asking a lot but it's a good thing to try after he's cleaned up at 160 or at least tried to. Also I don't think he's all that small for 168. He's about 5'10" - 5'11" isn't he? Calzaghe was only about an inch taller. The height/reach he'd be giving away isn't that huge. It's been done before.

There's only one good fight at 160 and that is Sergio.

After him there is a huge drop off.

No they're not. There's only Ward. The rest of them aren't really "a whole better class", they are just bigger than GGG so would be harder for him to beat.

You of all people should know GGG needs to prove he's the best in 160 first. Then fight somebody as a warm up at 168 to prove himself first and then fight Ward.
