If GGG never fights Canelo again it's ok with me I'd rather them fight other guys .

GOlovkin could retire at anytime , he must be set financially .

He was your favourite out the two, I understand that, he's my favourite fighter but its quite obvious Clenelo was overwhelmingly A side. Hes the money man blatantly and called all the shots leading up to the first fight for a reason, or Oscar did

I totally agree with this.
Alvarez embarrased Mexican pride on a number of occasions but most were extremely quick to forgive him, and I think that even if he had been caught on pure synthetic steroids without any plausible excuse how it got into his body, a whole lot of Mexicans would still support him when he returned.
Seems unlikely with a boxing loving nation behind him like Mexico, Golovkin would have much of a chance surpassing him in popularity any time soon.

 

Be honest Canelo has arguably lost FOUR TIMES !! Floyd, GGG, Lara & Trout. Any other fighter but the cash cow would have those losses on his record. After the clembutrol fiasco he should be BANNED too The Mexican fighters here detest him

Shocking. Looks good on his resume winning the title against a past it Martinez but was it really worth it when you look such a fanny handing the belt over rather than fight the Gaffa of the Middleweights. I honestly think Oscar made a massive tool out of him for that, especially with the Mexicans. His rep is gone with them boys

Golovkin probably gets more respect now by beating BJS, Jacobs more definitively or the top young contender at this point, anyway. Whether that's Charlo, Chenko or whomever establishes themselves as that guy this time next year.

 

There's enough deluded fanboys to make him the financial A side for years. Sad but true. Look at Shadow111 and his "it coulda been a clen-burger he ate, by mistake. Coulda!" and say no more. As an actual fighter and belt holder, he's the B side and always has been. Golovkin needs to sew up Saunders' belt (if he can - Saunders might be tougher than Clenelo) and make Canelita dance to his tune for a while.

 

Alvarez is *clearly* the A-Side and, if the rematch happens, the status-quo does not change. This should be painfully obvious to anyone with 1/2 of a working braincell...
