The guy has a iron chin crazy power and also great boxing iq ....

He has never been knocked down or knocked out in over 375 fights

I can really see him becoming a ATG the cowards can not keep ducking ggg for long you can run but you can not hide :yep

Close to it but not quite he gets hit too much his defense is quite leaky. He also can't fight backing up that well. Complete fighters are guys like Ward and PBF who can fight at all ranges with a great defense and a high ring IQ.

I was watching a bunch of his stuff yesterday. I like the guy. I'm excited about his future fights. My biggest concern is that he does get hit too much. He is also not overly fast on his feet. If Sergio were at his very best, I could see him winning a UD over GGG. I don't give him much chance vs Ward tbh. I would've loved to see him in with Chavez jr just to see how his power really effects bigger smw. If he could stop jr, then one could assume he'd also beat Froch just due to his supperior skills. What happens when GGG goes up against a truly gifted pure boxer? Wait and see I suppose. Watch the Stevens fight closely. Its obvious to me GGG passes the chin test as well as the elite power test. At middleweight for sure.

I think Kovalev is better. He's fought better opponents.

yea he gets hit but from what I have seen he has a iron chin which can somewhat make up for a leaky defence....
also what if ggg goes up against a pure boxer?
well he hits just to dam hard for that to matter even him touching you will put you of your plans.....

I disagree. GGG is more complete than Kovalev is and it's not close.

Nah, I learned my lesson on that after Tyson, Trinidad and Pavlik.

Here we have a fighter with elite chin, power, experience and very solid fundementals.

Minus' are lack of elite handspeed, footspeed(although footwork is very solid), and a leaky defense.

So my question is does he have that elite, rare sense of timing? Ala Ward, Hopkins or Carlos Molina? Sometimes it seems like he does have some of it. Curtis Stevens clearly had faster hands than him, yet in exchanges Golovkin almost always landed more. But then why does he get hit so damnmuch?

I'll be watching with a lot of interest. The man is exciting and a great sport. I hope he is a HOFer when its all said and done.:good
