this is the main point most poeple who hate Golovkin cling onto when bashing him since when does a fighter who comes out with the sole purpose of forcing the action have a slick defense? if a fighter is intent on bringing pressure and be the one forcing the action, he is obviously thinking about throwing punches rather than avoiding them, is he not? for someone who brings constant pressure, he gets hit surprisingly few times, and even fewer times does he get caught clean, Macklin himself said it's very hard to hit GG cleanly, because he used his arms and shoulders to full extent when parrying his opponent's punches GG would laugh himself stupid if he read some of the BS people post here
this is the first actual boxing post boxing-clown has ever made that makes sense. I have to make an apt with my neuro dr now that I have agreed with this troll. GGG is the REAL deal and I don't think ANYONE could hang with him from 160/175. him and kov would be suicide fight but GGG is that great I see him steamrolling everyone unless he meets kov at 175. then its who is going to suffer brain damage first
I think GGG foot speed is not slow. It may not be in the elite level like his hand speed, but a few times I've seen his come forward attacks were quicker than average.
Complete fighter? What, against the low level fighters he's faced? So far all GGG has done is to compact a few generic tomato cans. GGG is a hype job extraordinary and does not have the real boxing community fools like it does the casuals.
Ward would beat GGG at 168 better more complete fighter who has faced and beaten elite comp. I would also favor Froch to beat him there as well. GGG is good but needs to step up the level of comp.
Now you are implying that GGG has accomplished what Hagler did? LOL! Are you equating Curtis Stevens with Tommy Hearns too? :roflatsch
Good, but in no way complete. A skilled and calm counter puncher could cause him a lot of problems since he is so open.
no, you are implying that :hi: he probably won't ever be even close to Marvelous Marvin, but in today's dry MW landscape he is the real deal, whether you can deal with it or not
my hero? just because I believe he and not let's say Quillin is the real deal I'm playing the race card? nice GGG will never surpass Hagler or any of the other ATG MW's, but these days there is nobody better at MW, hopefully he can live up to the hype and finally beat a top 5 (at least) MW and earn a showdown with Martinez later this year
