Golovkin - Jacobs: WBA Denies Request to Modify Purse Bid Split

WBA have too much on their plate with Tyson Fury at the moment to bother with that troll Jacobs.

If it's based on the number of posts on this forum, 99.9 to 0.1 is fair. But this is a boxing match. Give Jacobs 35%, just like you want from Canelo, and win the fight.

Boxing has been ruined because of all the fights we should have, but never had. It's why MMA will be taking over if something does not change.

 

If Golovkin really wants the fight, I see nothing wrong with at least offering Jacobs 35%. I used to dismiss all this Golovkin being more interested in making money than fighting talk. Now I am not so sure. If Jacobs refuses to fight for the ordered amount then there goes another fight.

Whether the serial ducking of Golovkin is fair or not, it is a reality: if Golovkin wants to overcome this hurdle, he has to face this reality and agree to a 35-65 purse split. Jakov is an embarrasment, but Golovking does not have to be another one. Make it 65-35 and make the flight, please.

We can compare it to the berto vs Mayweather fight. Did berto deserve 25%? No in no ****ing world. He deserved at most 10%!!! Thats the same amount Jacobs deserves!!!!

I really respect Golovkin, but there is no comparison between Berto and Jacobs. Jacobs is the 2nd best middleweight in the world (I don't count Canelo as a middleweight), Berto was not. Plus, Jacobs would be a draw in NYC. I don't have a problem with Jacobs asking for 25-30%. 40% is nonsense of course.

 

Jacobs is a no name in comparison to ggg. He is only known at the Barclay center. But yeah he is the Nr. 2 at middleweight. I meant that just on financianal and Status Level Jacobs is no one to ggg. In boxing Terms he is a challenge. So imo 70-30 would be A nice move from ggg.

But i am pissed with Team Jacobs and haymon. Their Plan was to increase their Part to 40-60 and then try to win the purse bid and put the fight on showtime, so ggg has to vacate. Now they won't bid that Much cause it will be to expensive and lose the purse bid and vacate.

K2 will bid 6 mil and haymon 3 mil. Watch and See;-)

 

If it wasn't over this it'd be over something else but rest assured Jacobs would have found a way out. It's why K2 haven't seriously bothered with negotiations. They want it to go to purse bid straight away so Jacobs pulls out without wasting too much of their time.

If he does take it, then I'll happily admit I was totally wrong to doubt him but I just can't see this fight happening.
