It's a pity he's wasting his chances of being remembered on tin cans. I still don't rate him as anything other than Edwin Valero cult favourite until he actually fights good opposition.

I'd also love to see direct evidence to all of those quotes...just for curiosity purposes.

Wasting? If he could get Canelo, Lee, Cotto, Lemieux and fight them all in the same day he would. It's not his fault the title holders are avoiding him (minus Lemieux, God bless his soul).

No. That is exactly it. Please give me your explanation to why Golovkin can't get big fights. Who's fault is it?

Also, your wish on not facing good opposition has been granted. Lemieux is a top MW IBF titleholder.

His own clearly. Guys who're equally as talented and as impressive as he looks against tin cans have gotten big fights and fought decent opposition. You name the best guys in Boxing, they all have fought quality opposition at one stage or another. From Floyd, to Manny, to Crawdford to Gonzalez to even Cherry Garcia who has some great names on his resume. Kovalev is a more brutal version of Golovkin and he's fought quality opposition for a long long while. His win over Grandpa Hopkins is better than Golovkin's resume as a whole. Golovkin is taking the p*ss with fighting can after can...it's his loss though, he's 33 now....he's only got a few years left in him

    1. Who is equally talented and impressive as Golovkin that has gotten big fights?

    2. Pacquiao and Mayweather are lottery tickets. Pacquiao was dangerous, but he is also small. Mayweather outsmarts you and you won't get knocked out by him let alone hurt.

    3. Garcia can be outboxed.

    4. Crawford is great. There's a good chance you won't be knocked out though if you're a decent fighter.

Unlike all these opponents, Golovkin is 5"10 1/2. He has high ring IQ. He's undefeated. And not ONLY is he undefeated, you have a 91% chance of getting knocked out and he's said to hit like a heavyweight by the people who spar/fight him. And most of all, the risk out weighs the reward.

Golovkin is a scary, middleweight killer. Ten fold to the others you described besides Kovalev. He's being DUCKED. Fighters don't want to step into a ring and get ktfo, especially fighters who have something to lose which is usually the good opposition.

If Canelo, Cotto, Lee today asked Golovkin to fight do you think he'd say no? And if not, then who is if it's not Golovkin?

His resume is by his own fault simply because of how dominate/risky/scary he is, but that doesn't mean he's picking lesser comp because he wants to.

He also runs from Kovalev, Lebedev, Huck and Klitchko. Have you heard about weight classes ?
