Golovkin does hit like a ****ing train, his punches arent that fast but you just have to listen to them to tell how hard he was hitting Proksa tonight, that being said Proksa put up a brave effort, he was hurt quite a few times and still stood there trading
A bit of both... GGG has huge power, but it didn't look like he nailed Proksa with his best shots. Proksa's chin is far from glass, I guess it's above average, but that's not enough against that kinda power wich Golovkin already demostrated in his former bouts.
Personally, I'd be inclined to think power was the determining factor in this case. But since posters have questioned Proksa's punch resistance in the past, I figured I would create this thread to see whether or not people thought this zult was truly representative of the power GGG carries in each hand.
A bit of both. Remember that Proksa was destroying most of his opponents too. Tonight, it was like watching a brown recluse spider tangling with a praying mantis on National Geographic. Too bad the praying mantis met its match.
Not really. Only some of the usual Brit pigs who label every pole a glasschinned bum. Proxa was never down in his career before he faced Golovchin.
Those posters tend to be pretty vocal, though. That said, I'm in agreement with you and most others on this poll, and think that the zult had everything to do with GGG's power (and skill-set, it should be noted), and little if anything to do with the Pole's chin. Not sure how many middleweights would have stayed upright for 12 rounds against the version of GGG who stepped inside the ring last night, tbh.
