Fact is Golovkin didn't land anything meaningful otherwise Canelo would have got hurt. When was Canelo ever hurt? GGG was supposed to be this bad ass boogeyman and he didn't really do much to Canelo. Don't blame the judges on this one. GGG didn't impress in this fight.
Alvarez was hurt, that's why he ran all night and just fought in spurts. Golovkin won the fight, 98% had Golovkin winning the fight, Lederman had it 8 rounds to 4, Paulie had it 9 rounds to 3, even Nacho Beristain had Golovkin winning!!!
Too bad for you 95% of the population had Gennady winning. So your punch count (or what you think it is) means jack ****.
Yep. I had it 118-112 Canelo. He landed the bodypunches, showed the defense and the effective aggression.
Are you really this Dumb? The best of the best land 40 percent of their punches! I guess by your count you excluded the jab because the jab doesn't count in boxing anymore. Correct? GGG won this fight easy and was robbed.
Nothing has changed on this site has it? Cheerleaders just can not admit they are wrong. Fighting 1 minute at the start of the round does not win you fights. Not getting Ko'd doesn't score you points. Punching out of a smooth every now and then doesn't win you fights.
That's ok. Scoring fights isn't for everyone but it can be taught if you're capable of being objective.
Yes he did. I remember multiple occasions in which he hit him clean with various shots. However what happened here is Canelo altered his style to a fairly negative one so GGG adapted & won via the jab. The most effective scoring weapon in a boxers arsenal. Smaller more elusive target harder to KO. Go to plan B. Cut him off, work the jab. Basic stuff. Power will get you so far. Canelo found this out via FMJ. You do not have to always win via stoppage. You're all getting boring...
Aggression is not at all the appropriate word to describe Canelo's fight strategy in his fight with GGG. You make up the 5% of the population that somehow saw the fight through the lens of Alvarez actually winning although I would guess that number is even lower if we looked at score cards that had Alvarez winning by a wide margin
Some people saw DLH beating Mayweather as well. So I am not surprised to see a very small number of fans who gave the fight to Alvarez
I rarely score a fight twice, but I have to admit I am going to have to go back and watch this fight again some times just because people are SO FAR in the opposite of what I saw. From what I saw there was nothing wrong with Adelaide Byrd's scorecard at all, and Moretti was the kook.
