Only when it comes to Golovkin current world champions are described as "low level opponents".

Lemeux has a decent Canadian following. That doesn't make Golovkin a PPV star.

Whatever the case may be, a world champion is not a low level opponent, let's make that clear.

:lol::lol: "steph curry" If fighting in front of him is such a big deal you should have at least respected him by capitalizing his name.

It depends because world champions vary in level, some are better, some are worse.

I don't care what kind of mental gymnastics you want to go through here, fighting a world champ in a unification fight in your division is not picking on a low level opponent and I'm finished with this stupid argument.

The reason people think the middleweight division is **** is because, for the most part good fighters actually fight each other more often in than in other divisions. Guys like Thurman, Brooke, Porter have only been in one or two hard match ups.

Meanwhile a guy like Ndam(who you didn't mention. in his 5 last fights has fought Stevens,Quillan, and Lemieux. And quite honestly imo looked good in all those fights but gets labeled as a c fighter.

And guy like Andy lee who you **** on because he got beat by a guy who essentially fights at light heavyweight now. he's faced John Jackson(decent opponent but nothing special) Matt Korobov, Peter Quillan, and Billy Joe Saunders all in back to back fights.

Lemieux cashed in against Golovkin a little too soon imo, but he is a good opponent, Rubio and Alcine were in 2011, since then he has changed his entire team and has improved imo. Rosado is a gatekeeper but in my mind is about the same level as a guy like Colazzo in recent years. But Nd'am is a pretty legit win and actually raised the stock for both fighters imo.

Also let's leave no qualms about it, Canelo is a middlweight. Fights over 154 and under 160 are at middlweight.
-And the reason why I don't mention Quillan is because he's not a force in the division but that's just my opinion.

Middleweight isn't a bad division, and I'll argue this all day if you want.

Opinions do not equal facts. We all know the middleweight division is weak, simply because there is NO American dominating it. Did you notice when Carl Froch, or Kessler were kingpins in the 168 division, they were considered Euro bums, then Ward came along and beat them, now they are respected and no longer considered pathetic

When Peter Quillin was poised to take over the middleweight division, the entire division was seen at a higher esteem, after people realized that Golovkin was head and shoulders above everyone else, the division was considered trash again :patsch

It is becoming incredibly obvious that those who consider a division weak, do so because their FAVORITE GUY is not dominating it. Americans/Brits despise the cruiserweight division because no Americans or Brits dominate it. The heavyweight division is despised for the same reason. There is only ONE known fighter at 168, and that is Ward. How is Andy Lee or Lemieux any inferior to Badou Jack or Groves?

:good I will argue this all day if I have to. I remember many people back in the day saying Peter Quillin will take over the 160 division, that division is "hot right now." Fast forward a couple of years, and now with Golovkin as the kingpin, that division is pathetic according to those same people.:patsch

They stack very well against most classes, with exception of the star studded 147 (May-Pac/Thurman/Khan).

Kudoz to GGG for not taking any shortcuts and unifying.
