Right because unlike other divisions, for the most part the best Middleweights fight the best pretty consistently(sans Quillan). Look at Welterweight, where a guy like Bradley can fight Vargas and Chavez back to back, Brook fights Gavin and JO JO Dan, and Thurman has one ok win. Guys like Lee, Lemieux, and Nd'am don't take gimme fights. Also just semantics but Rosado isn't on a 10 lose streak.

And it just angers me when people say Middlweight is a ****ty division It's better than others like jr middlweight, super middlweight, jr welterweight, lightweight,Heavyweight.

    Wow. This is unreal.

GGG could become "the guy" in the sport quickly, particularly with Floyd and Pacquiao on the way out.

It just means that in terms of the hardcore boxing fanbase - Golovkin is the becoming the number one fighter. The mainstream audience hasn't caught on yet, I think a couple of more big wins in the high profile fights will get him there.

You have to be a total idiot to criticise a guy for trying to unify his division, this is what every boxer should set out to do and is legacy defining

Exactly, why fight Ward when he can fight hopeless opponents?.

Aww, are you mad that GGG gets to unify titles in the MW division and fight on a pay per view? We've all been there friend, you'll let it go someday.

Okay one thing, Rosado is NOT on a ten fight losing streak. Andy Lee avenged his loss over Vera. Chavez Jr at middleweight was a pretty good fighter, since he had a significant size advantage over his opponents. Rubio knocked out Lemieux when he was 22, and Rubio himself is NOT a bad fighter. N'dam lost to the top dogs in the 160 division, but looked very good regardless. How can you call Quillin, Saunders, Lee and Lemieux bums? Either you hate the 160 division, or you hate GGG so much, that in order to demean his achievements you **** on his entire division. You aids infested rat.

Wlad's fight against Jennings did around 17k at the gate. Please don't ask for source. I just saw it today when I looked up news about GGG. Anyway, for the peeps that don't think it will do good on PPV, I have a strong feeling you're wrong. This is the second time GGG has almost immediately sold out a venue. Back when he fought Rubio, I remember reading that the tickets sold out in like 2 weeks. Then they had to make more seats and those sold out. Then they made standing room only, and those sold out. Like it or not, GGG is a huge draw. My bet is min 500k PPV buys. My rationale? Any casual fan that I have introduced GGG to has since planned their family vacations around his boxing schedule.

I bought two front row tickets for the ggg vs Rubio bout for $200.Best 200 bucks I ever spent. The crowd albeit mostly Raza were rooting hard for golovkin and there was not 1 empty seat in sight.

This assumes some strong direct connection between gate sales at MSG, and PPV numbers.

I'm trying to think of recent PPVs from MSG?

    Cotto-Mosley? Cotto-Sergio? Golota-Byrd?

Did those fights fill capacity? And did those fights do tremendous PPV numbers, if they did fill capacity?
