Golovkin likely takes off the rest of the year

    Tom Loeffler said he met with him today and they are not planning to make anymore fight this year.

    Probably Murata/Charlo/BJS in April, than Canelo trilogy fight in 19 September.

    He’s gonna approach to 38 that time....

    But I Understand he has 2 kids now, basically he lived up there in Big Bear seeing his family few months a year and also his body needs rest.

    He should take it off. But no retiring until he gets the 3rd with red. He got robbed 2x. He wants to and should address it one last time.

    It's hard to get up and train every day when you are wearing silk Pyjamas.

    At the same time father time is undefeated.

    GGG has nothing to gain and nothing to lose he might as well retire. The Jacobs and Canelo fights prove he was never at the ATG level. I just don't think he has much to offer. BJS will slaughter him and so will the champions at 168

    Nothing else for Golovkin to do in the ring. He made
    a little bitty blip on the radar. Won some titles, made some
    good money. He's only getting older and where as I thought
    he beat Canelo in both fights, the kink in the armor is now there.

    Danny, Derev., Jermall, Billy Joe (pending whatever upcoming suspension is
    on it's way), are all waiting in the wings. All 4 are better than anyone he's
    combated in his prime, and he's now clearly entering post prime.

    Time for him to bow out.

    Could that be why Canelo wants to fight in December? Some type of mind game to show he's willing to fight just 3 months after one of his toughest fights.
