Golovkin: Look at Hopkins; My Record's Much Bigger, Stronger at 160!

Wait...there is a large difference between their resumes. They’re close at 160, but Hopkins is in a totally different league if you include his work above 160.

 

We're talking about them at 160. Obviously Hopkins achieved more if you look at what he did above 160.

Not at 160, a proper W against Canelo would’ve made them about even right now, give it 3-4 more fights (fingers crossed BJS is one of them) and he’s ahead. Out side 160, sure.

 

At 160 GGG has arguably passed what Hopkins has done.

Hopkins made a career of beating C/D level opposition and GGG wouldn't need 3 fights to prove he's better than Robert Allen, like Hopkins did.

Also people may deride Golovkin's opposition at least he wasn't going 12 rounds with D level opposition like Hopkins did and he also didn't draw with a fighter on the level of Mercado.
