That place is rocking ever since the local Chinese take away started dumping their leftovers into his alley! :elefant:

Is it true that the bouncers wear skirts?

I never really counted the WBA defences he made at the time but you make a great point... youve actually changed my view on this. I give his wba title more weight now.... had wba made the right decision they would have made him the real champion anyway after Sturm ducked him, not make two 'champions'.

I dont like Golovkins comments. IMO while its close, Hopkins reign is still the better one, he still has the record, and I think Golovkin should be showing a bit more respect.

The only edge Golovkin has in comparison to Hopkins reign was the manner in which he did it...

They are a bit uncharacteristic for him, but I think following the fallout of the Canelo fight they need an angle to pump the Vanes fight. "He's going to equal Hopkins' record!" adds a bit of lustre to that match, and will also help pump up the SD defence ("He's going to break Hopkins' record!) which I am confident will happen.

Anyone with eyes knows GGG won. The consensus is that GGG won, outside of De La Hoya and Byrd. You think it was a draw? Fine but Canelo is probably more skilled than Trinidad anyways. Trinidad was already exposed by DLH prior to fighting Hopkins. Trinidad being ranked #2 was probably too high; I thought he lost to DLH.

The Pavlik fight was not at Middleweight, we can't assume anything about a Middleweight fight. And was Pavlik really all that good? Besides beating Taylor, who else did he beat? Edison Miranda? A guy who lost to Abraham twice and was knocked out by every good fighter he faced? Pavlik also got thoroughly outboxed by Martinez. Pavlik could punch but he wasn't all that versatile; he wasn't elite. Maybe he could have been with a better trainer instead of a guy who washed driveways and only advice was to "triple your jab Kelly".

Golovkin speaks the truth! If you dont like it, go confront him about it.

    Thought so.

    Triple a G!

You could argue Trinidad deserved to be ranked above Mosley who was number 1. Either way you splice it , he was deserving of a spot within the top 3.
Trinidad vs Hoya was extremely close due to mistakes made by Oscar , mistakes he didn't have to make and if he knew better , he wouldn't have made them.
Golovkin made similar mistakes in giving Canelo to much space and room to implement a stick n move strategy. But he couldn't have done any better if he wanted to unlike Oscar.
Golovkin did not dominate the rounds like he knew he had to and was too worried about getting landed on so stayed behind the safety of his jab all night long.
It matters not what most people think they saw , most people are incapable of scoring a razor close strategical fight like that. Neither guy did any better than the other and thats why it was deservedly ruled a draw.
What you get is people who go with the guy they were rooting for and that was Golovkin for the most part. Ask a Mexican who won and he'll say Canelo.
The point isn't about the victor anyhow , its about how Hopkins dominated and stopped his Canelo whereas GGG landed about 2 good clean shots on Canelo throughout the whole fight. This is why Nard > GGG

You do realize Canelo has a much bigger fanbase than Golovkin, right? And the general public still thinks Golovkin won.

What you are saying it a total BS cop-out because you know Canelo should have been given the L. I can apply your same argument to any horrendous decision over the years. It's a weak one.

Fair post. We still don't know if the roles were reversed and Canelo fought Hopkins and GGG fought Trinidad how it would turn out. I personally feel Trinidad would be easier for GGG than Canelo and Canelo would put up a better fight than Trinidad but still drop a clear decision to Hopkins.

    But we'll never know.

How do you know what Canelo's entire fanbase thinks? Canelo has about 5 fans on this forum so the majority opinion on here isn't saying much.
If you think he won , you're not wrong. Im not trying to argue he lost the fight.

I like both guys and I will say I enjoy the GGG fights way more than BHOPs fights. The entertainment still does not say he is above BH just saying
