Golovkin moves to 168 to face Oosthuizen

The names you mentioned already had fights booked. Lee with Chavez Jr
Quillin with Winky. Hope with Proska. Macklin says he wasn't contacted about replacing Pirog but he is up for it as long as he has time to prepare.

This division is on fire after some great match making in 2012 and this Ooz fight looks off the pace. Maybe I'm just a fussy ******* after being spoiled this year.
I'm hoping HBO have a grand plan. Maybe they are testing the water for Golovkin to fight Ward? I mean Tommy is such a low profile fighter. He's headlined a Friday ShoBox and that's it. I wanted to watch his last fight (not much else on a Thursday night) but it was only broadcast on some local station. You know it's bad when you can't even get on EPIX, Versus or Wealth TV :-(

 

Golovkin at 168lbs is not a great move.
He should have fought JCC Jr and Martinez at 160lbs, then fought Canelo, Cotto, Ortiz, and perhaps Mayweather at 154lbs.

Golovkin will be the sort of 17ko's in 28 fights sorta fighter at 168lbs. He clearly has great boxing skills which could put him in the mix with the greats at 168lbs.
