Well Margarito flamed out after he turned 30. Which is normal for a guy with his style.

Jarrett Hurd is the guy right now with the most "Mexican style" boxing. But hes 28. His body can handle it. GGG cant at his age.

I'm waiting for the Munguia Hurd fight. We'll see if Jaime has the same chin as his Tijuana compatriot.

Canelo has a Draw and a Win over GGG.

    Facts trump your feelings.

i think what you writr is rubbish.

The only thing you write which is true is that it is indeed odd that 3G has never proved able to beat an elite. I guess the truth is that 3G is either a sub-elite or a weak elite.

Jacobs was a big strong high ring iq belt holder with only 1 loss in his 20's. He was elite. Didnt use mexican style, fought a cautious boxing match mostly.

Lemiuex was a huge slugger in his 20's and ranked in the top 10 and had a belt at the time.

Two fights with canelo, he was super cautious.

    Golovkin is blowing hot air.

So the best you can say Golovkin fought is 3 fighters in 4 fights. I do think you are crazy if you think Lemieux is "elite." Top 5 MW when Golovkin toyed him but that statement will seem crazy in 20 years.

So that's 2 fighters in 3 fights against elite fighters that Golovkin has fought. Those fights were very close, the struggles of his career, with legitimate people scoring against him in them even if in the minority.

Yes, he was 34/35 by the time he fought an elite opponent. Guess what? That is exactly what the people you label as his harsh critics or haters but that is all people who Golovkin fans dislike have tried to point out. The statements made that are pro-Golovkin for so many years are not par with reality way more often than they should.

Great huge fight happens, jump on the boxing forum and really a lot of crying going on and not yielding anything from their agenda both ways. Forgive me for not feeling sad about any of this.

I hate the term ''mexican style''. It makes out mexican fighters as some brainless, plooding brawlers and disrespects the great mexican technicians of the past.

how is he elite? hes not beaten an elite. I agree only that he in the process of building a case for being elite, but the definition only really fits when you can match an elite.

lemmy is not elite. He might get there one day.

ggg is certainly elite in a historical perspective. the way he dispatched opponents in his prime told us so, his performances against the best post prime just confirmed it. a prime ggg beats todays canelo, but canelo isnt done sharpening his sword.

I am not sad either. Im able to watch the golovkin saga unfold with no investment other than simply being a boxing fan. Im neither a hater, nor a fanboy.

What im tired of is hypocrisy and false advertising in promoters and boxers. Forget nitpicking over which opponents are "elite" or not, kindly point out fights where golovkin uses his so called "mexican style". Any fight. Surely if he keeps yearning for a slugfest and attempts to goad his opponents to stand in front of him and slug it out, he should have plenty of examples in his long career where he actually...uses said style?
