This was an interview over at the scene. Double standard.

"I want the big fights. I want the big names. Who is there at 168? Badou Jack? DeGale?Ramirez? To me these are regular fights, these are not big fights. I want the big fights. Why move up to 168?

"Move up to 168 for what, who is going to fight me there, which champion at that weight will agree to fight me for a big fight. Right now I make 160 easily so I'm comfortable here, look at me I'm regular size middleweight".

I think what he meant when he said from 154 to 168 was that he will fight them all if they come down or go up to 160.

He says this now that he knows for certain Ward is permanent at 175 lbs.

If Golovkin wants the big fights and can make 160 lbs so easily, calling himself a small middleweight, why the hell didn't he put Canelo on the spot and call him on his insistance to fight at 155 lbs?

Golovkin talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk!

And this is why GGG will be rated as a good middleweight and nothing more. Maybe top 50 middleweight of all time.
HOF? Don't see him getting in

My personal opinion is that they are both bonafide middleweights, however GGG is the one that needs Canelo. That being so, he's now spewing out that he's not a big middleweight, that he can make the weight easily. That being the case and he needing recognition and a big fight, why the hell didn't he box Canelo in a corner and take him at his word by simply stating, "I just want the fight, 155 no problem!"

That really would have boxed Canelo and GBP into a corner.

:huh 3g's saze has nothing to do with Alvarez' size. Certainly you can judge for yourself that canelo is/was a large JrMW. If he weighs in at 154/155 and enters the ring above 170, what does that say to you?

This is an idiotic post if you think that is the MOST idiotic post on ESB.

Golovkin barely gets into the BHOF for KO more bums in a row than any other HW... Oooh wee, what an accomplishment!!
