Robert Allen never beat 1 person of note, the fact Hopkins had to fight him 3 times says more about Hopkins than anything else.

Allen was horrible, as was Echols.

 

Golovkin is good fighter, no doubt about it, but he has to fight the referee, judges and boxing commission when he fight Oscar's prize chicken....................

no on Antwun. Echols was an formidable boxer, with a case for elite until he got shot in the arm. He certianlty was good enough to scare calzaghe off, so if you think hes horrible, then you don't think much of joe.

 

Allen wasn't horrible, as you can tell from his first couple fights with Hopkins. That an older Allen once again became the number one contender in a crooked organization isn't Hopkins fault. Hopkins had to fight him or be stripped of the belt, right before he was set to fight De La Hoya. And again, the Echols that fought Hopkins, wasn't terrible. That Echols would **** on guys like Stevens, and Lemieux.

Javier Castillejo won the WBA MW strap in july of 2006

he lost it to Felix Sturm in April 2007

Sturm held it until March of 2011

oh, and this fella "eastman" you thought was WBA champ during that time, wasn't even ranked in the top 10 during 2007

LOL Echols had already lost and drawn to fighters much worse than Lemieux and Stevens. Infact prior to his first fight against BHOP his top win was bloody Brian Barbosa.

Echols and Allen where on par with Stevens, in no way where they much better.
