Hopkins only made 19 the Allen NC when Bernard jumped out the ring doesn't count.

Im counting 6 defences since he won the WBA super from Geale.

The regular paper belt doesn't count , if it did Brahmer has more WBA defences than Kovalev.

Whats amazing about it? The bums he beat while he was a paper title holder were no different than the long string of bums Abhram and Sturm defended against.

WBA paper belt defenses dont count for me. One could make a case about the WBA regular champ to be considered no 1 in the organization if the WBA super belt is vacate but thats up to debate

For all the criticism of GGG's opposition, I think Hopkins had made it to 14 (?) defences before he fought Tito and established himslf as the linear champion. And coming into the Tito fight, no-one cared about those wins.

It's not anything you can or can't "count", you're opinion is your opinion but this isn't anything anyone's opinion matters any. The facts are ggg is going for his 18th consecutive defense, (all by Tko) and by end of 2018 will had broken the record. Also, it's hard to accept the fact ggg has been and is currently in a far superior mw division than the absolute joke bhop got to play in rematching Allen 3 (THREE) ****ing times. Allen would be literally a less skilled and much less an opponent than Macklin..

Cockmaster and his troll bff's aren't gonna be able to handle this ****, I doubt they'll continue to pretend to be boxing fans that much longer. If they have any working cells left they for sure know what's coming, they'll quit their antics

Who cares? When I think about Hopkins career, I don't think wow 20 defenses?! That's what made him so great! It's the quality of opposition he fought that made him so great.
Look at who he's fought win or lose.
    RJJ
    Tarver
    Trinidad
    Dela Hoya
    Taylor
    Kovalev
    Pascal
    Winky
    Calzaghe

    Who has GGG fought?
    Lemieux
Brook-Jumped 2 full weight classes, and no don't compare it to Dela Hoya or Trinidad winning titles at 154 before fighting GGG.
    Jacobs
    Murray
    Geale

You do realise Hopkins was years older than Gennady in all these fights besides Roy? Give Golovkin time.

Listen bro, WBA regular belt defenses are a joke because that belt is a joke.it was solely made so the WBA can rack up more cash. It dont mean anything more than no 1 contender, just like the WBC silver belt. And thats a fact. The negotiations between super champ vs regular champ are the proof of that.

BTW I'm a Triple G fan, but it is what it is

The boxing world turns a blind eye to this because thats how the system works, so they can invent numerous other belts and fake champs ( like jacobs, who's never been one, but can become one tomorrow) who will pay sanctioning fees for "title" bouts

I completely agree - but if we're just talking about Middleweight accomplishments, the only guys Hopkins fought at 160 on your list were RJJ (who he lost to), Taylor (2 losses), Tito and Oscar, the latter of whom didn't belong at Middleweight.

I think Hopkin's greater accomplishments came after he moved up in weight.
