So how come you’re so sure that there have been 15 greater MWs?

Half of Hopkins resume were toilet cleaners. Had he met G in their primes, it would have been Kovalev all over again

There's not a single MW in history you could confidently pick over Golovkin. Hagler could have been a war for the ages, the likely outcome being Marvin retiring on the stool or howling on the canvas clutching his broken ribs

SOG putting a couple divisions between himself and the Triple God and then promptly retiring with whatever $$$ he could get plus his faculties intact is looking like a very wise play.

Greb, Monzon, Steele, Hagler, Ketchel and possibly a few others including Hopkins may have a bit to say about that. While I think he's better than Hopkins, and I think he'd give any MW in history a hard fight, but I'm not sure he has enough time left in his career to achieve anything approaching consensus on the subject. Greb in particular has a resume that possibly makes him the #1 fighter in history, nevermind MW.

Of those 4 only 1 is what you would call a realistic pick.

As much as I like GGG, Drenlou is right on this one. Mandatory belts should not count as a defence since you are not the champ but the guy with a belt waiting for a fight against the champ.
