Canelo couldn't handle little Floyd but he's going to 'probably' beat Triple G, eh? you're probably the thread starter's contentious little brother. dumb and dumber.

Carbon copy of Tsyzu when he was steam rolling everyone at 140lbs before meeting a bad arxse Vince Phillips.

GGG is a great fighter and very intimidating, however, there's always a bully buster like Vince Phillips out there waiting. KT re-group and went on to great things before injury and his 5mil pound retirement fight with Hatton

If he stays at MW he will break Hopkins record. And something tells me that he will do some great things at SMW. Hope he stays patient and breaks that record.

Styles makes fights, better fighters on paper have done a lot worse vs Floyd than Canelo. Second Mayweather is an actual ATG and one of the best defensive fighters of all time. You say I'm dumb for thinking Alvarez beats GGG yet you comepare GGG to Floyd nothing about them is the same except they are both professional boxer's. I keep stressing the things that have shown to give Canelo trouble GGG doesn't do so comparing thoses fights to a potential one vs Golovkin is a gross misjudgment.

    Sh!t thread from a sh!t poster.

Come talk to me when Golovkin KO's Klitschko while weighing in as a super middleweight. Then we can discuss his placement alongside Fitzsimmons.

Also let me know when he fights and beats about 20 HOF fighters, then we can discuss his placement alongside Greb.

There's about 50 guys ahead of him but there are a few he has no chance of eclipsing.

I agree that GGG beats Cotto/Quillin for different reasons vs Canelo not so much I think Alvarez takes a SD type decision I'll break down why if you want in another post. I don't agree with your other statements though Geale is a decent win as he's had some semblance of success but outside of that who are these guys Stevens?, Macklin who only notable thing is losing to Martinez?

It's no double standard with GGG the double standard is fans like you acting like everyone should move up or down to face GGG yet make excuses why he shouldn't move up. Forget Ward for a second him and GGG are both being *****es imo and both should move up. You really can't compare MW to SMW, Froch, Ward, Chavez jr ect.. are all accomplished to different degrees all have a name and put in work for there name. At MW it's a bunch of guys just as unproven as GGG who haven't done **** look at the top 10 MW's it's maybe one prime fighter in the whole division. All them guys is old fighters one the way out.

To make is simpler I'll put it like this Cotto beating Martinez is talked about like a ****ty win but if GGG fought Martinez this May it would probably be his best win

There is literally nothing he could do at present to equal the of résumé of Hagler or Monzón.

Not his fault, there just aren't enough A+ competitors around right now and given his age he'll be done before a new generation can blossom.

The sport is not letting him be great. The whole stinking, dirty sport is doing an end run around the guy waiting for age or some fluke to take care of him for them.

This is collusion and it stinks.............

Unfortunately Golovkin has a few obstacles that will hurt him from reaching ATG status.

For a guy in his 30's already, he hasn't fought anyone of note. He probably has a 3 or 4 year window period at this point to build his legacy. While there's no doubt he was a great amateur, he hasn't really done anything yet to prove he's on a trajectory to ATG status as a pro. And once again, he's no spring chicken.

Now he's been campaigning at MW for a while and I can't for the life of me understand why he won't go up in weight and face Andre ward. Golovkin is actually older than him, and GGG is widely considered one of the hardest punchers P4P currently in the sport. Why he's so reluctant to go up just one weight division to take on a guy who's arguably considered one of the best P4p in the sport is just baffling. If he has intentions of being remembered as an ATG, surely beating a guy of Andre Ward's stature would be a great building block for an ATG foundation.

I'd understand his hesitance to move up to SMW if there were a myriad of top tier fighters for him to face at 160, but there's no one in that division with a big name outside of Cotto who I imagine will never fight GGG. Can't even consider Canelo a MW since he hasn't even campaigned in the division yet.

He can really speed things up on his legacy if he dares to go up just one weight class and take on the kingpin of the 168 division. There's been plenty of fighters over the years with much less power than GGG that ventured up several weight classes with success. No reason to think gennady's power won't be coming up to 168 with him.
