    Julian Jackson or Golovkin?

Golovkin seems to have that power which is beyond pain. And it takes years off of your life.

Julian rendered people unconscious in a sickening, hard-to-watch kinda way.

Pound for pound it is not a contest. For who hit harder outright my money is still on Jackson.

They have different kinds of power. Jackson was a one-punch knockout artist, who put people out cold with a single punch. Golovkin is more of an accumulation puncher, who clubs his opponents throughout the match until they go down.

I personally think fighting a guy with one-punch knockout power is better, because he ends the fight with one punch. An accumulation puncher does more damage over the course of a fight, and thus can cause long-term damage to your body.

Jackson. I think he hit as hard as anyone, pound for pound. Golovkin is brutal, but not with one punch as someone else said.

    Exactly.

And I like Golovkin. He is a skilled boxer, and a very hard puncher.

But, Jackson is one of the hardest punchers to ever lace them up.

Most people here are truly unaware that Golovkin doesn't even throw half as hard as he could most of the time he is punching. He spends a majority of the time tagging people with light punches that still have them on ***** street.

What most people don't seem to want to acknowledge is that Jackson spent a good portion of his career fighting at Jr. MW.

Golovkin already has a 90% KO ratio fighting strictly middleweight which, lets be honest, are not as bad as people are making out to be.

Julian Jackson finished is career at 80%. I know statistics are not the only defining piece of evidence of punching power, but going by these numbers, we have to assume that the power both men carry is very similar.

GGG's knockout victory over Ishida was as brutal as any scalp on Jackson's resume.

we really don't know how to compare GGG to Jackson. GGG just doesn't have the fights against top fighters Jackson did. The Hearns vs. Jackson comparison is a better one because both guys fought the best.

    I agree.

That KO of Ishida was the very definition of 'Punch through the target', IMO.

I thought Golovkin had bits of skull and brains on his glove after that punch! So brutal.
