Smartest move by K2 was to lobby the Kaz govt for $$$$ to stage the final unification fight in GGG homeland.
It will generate big money in Kaz, while selling globally, and especially big in the UK and US markets.

Won't even be PPV in the US.

Just an after HBO Championship Boxing that will likely peak around 2 mil on a Saturday afternoon.

 

GGG has to fight VERY SMART vs Jacobs.

Can't let it got to the cards, but can't let Jacobs take free shots either.

And the opportunity to catch GGG coming off a tough fight, with a short turnaround, against a completely different style than he's faced.

I hope so. If he fights Jacobs, Billy Boy, and Canelo in back to back to back fights that will be as impressive of a three fight streak he could possibly put together at 160. If that does not serve as validation I don't know what would.

GGG wins those 3 fights in a row he will be p4p #1 and a household name. As boxing goes though, I'd say it has about a 10% chance of actually happening. This sport has made me very skeptical over the years

could be...jacobs, saunders and canelo in the same year would be a real good one...prob fighter of the year worthy.....but taking this saunders fight might mean he has to wait till 2018....we shall see

 

Really hope this happens and that Saunders looks more interested and conditioned than he did in his last fight. Would really set up the September showdown between Golovkin/Canelo for undisputed and lineal middleweight crown and possibly P4P #1.

Boxing is a funny sport though, Jacobs could blitz GGG and knock him out in the first round and all these talks and hype would be for nothing. The best laid plans of mice and men and all that.

hope sanders comes in a lot better shape then his last fight... or this could be over in 2-3 rounds.

 

Jacobs is no joke. GGG better win or all his fancy plans are for nought. I hope he comes in focused.

 

If GGG does get past Jacobs( he may not Jacobs is no mug) Saunders may well retire hopefully safe & rich after the GGG bout good luck to Saunders if he take the fight, I hope he does or else his name will be Mud . Cannot see Canelo wanting a fight this year with GGG unless GGG looks really slow & timing is off...

 

Well Avtandil Khurtsidze will be facing Tommy Langford for the vacant WBO interim middleweight title and Ryoto Murata will likely face Hassan N'dam for the WBA interim or regular title
