GGG knows his picks. Sounds like he considers Alvarez a live underdog, but an underdog nonetheless.

Those are just predictions. Abel chose Floyd and Garcia, GG chose Canelo and Matthysse.

Alvarez is a very talented fighter. He's in his prime and he's fighting in his divison. His opponent of one of the best talents in the history of the sport, but he's also 36 and the fight will take place above his walking around weight. This a great matchup, both fighters have a legit shot at winning.

GG knows a lot about boxing, but this time I don't think so

Canelo is probably not yet in his prime, perhaps in a few years.

I think that Canelo has a good chance. Mayweather isn't the fighter that he was five years ago. He'll still be the favorite to win, but Canelo should make it a really good fight whether he wins or loses.

Not an unlikely outcome. Matthysse isn't a fundamental guy and
I think garcia is more so, and has carved his style off of tough but
fundamental boxing. I thought Danny boy would've been exposed
by now, but he keeps improving so who knows what he could pull
off. I like Matthysse for the W but not enough to write the
    philly kid off though.

This makes it sound like hes favoring Canelo in the fight, but hes not.

    * Golovkin said he favors Floyd in the fight, period

    * He simply says that Canelo has a great chance, but again... he favors Floyd.

    * He says hes rooting for Canelo because hes a friend
