Any fighter who says they don't fight for money is lying.

    This is prize fighting.

Canelo vacated the belt when Golovkin became his mandatory and starved himself to drop back down to a weight class he can not make healthily anymore to avoid Golovin. So I don't want to hear any **** from him

"Alvarez says he doesn't **** around but vacated his title and insisted on BS catchweights." See how easy that was?

Sure, we can criticise Golovkin but considering how Canelo has behaved as a middleweight he needs to keep his mouth shut.

15 million dollars is the final offer according to Canelo.

"15 million is more than fair. Take it or leave it".

This is more than Golovkin is worth by 15x. Golovkin is just a $1M per fight boxer and should stop over pricing himself.

Floyd is the only one honest about it. It's ONLY about money. Fighters dont care about daring to be great. That's a load of crock these days.

Well they're prizefighters, so the prize is obviously a big priority in negotiations for them.

It does seem a bit contradictory on Gennady's part though. He didn't want to move up and fight the only guy anyone thinks can give him a competitive fight in Ward, and he insisted his reason was that he had unfinished business at 160 and was adamant about unifying the division.

That's been his M.O. for a couple years now, something he's made mention of countless times. Him lobbying incessantly for a fight with Alvarez who is a non champion and has never campaigned at the full 160 does go against everything he made mention of the past couple years. Maybe he recognizes that given his age range, if he's ever going to get the big paydays, it would have to be now.

What is wrong with you? Why are you so scared of Canelo fighting GGG? Who cares. I mean, I hope they both get out of that fight without any long term damage, but **** man...this is boxing. These guys signed up for this ****. If they don't wanna fight, they can get out the game. I wouldn't even fault them.

You should appreciate a guy like GGG. He lives and dies by the sword. Canelo is a prettier boxer. He was too scared to press Mayweather.

Look at the shots that GGG took from Brook who is a much harder puncher than Mayweather. Canelo, say what you want, but he ain't as hard or ganster as GGG.

Would he beat GGG in a boxing match? Maybe. I'd say it's damn near 50/50.

But he ain't ganster like GGG. Dude couldnt' even do what it takes to walk through some Mayweather shots to break him down.

Yes but that was before his brand was damaged by the false bravado in the ring followed by him vacating the belt. I think we will have to wait and see what the numbers for Canelo vs anyone except JC jr would be like to judge his popularity.

When El Pollo dropped the belt rather than fight his mandatory Golovkin, it said something..............El Pollo does not want to fight Golovkin, no doubt about it. El Pollo said that 160 was too big for him, yet he will fight at 164.5 lbs. vs. Chavez! Lying *******!
