Long time reader, first time posting!

    Here's some facts:

    1. Canelo wanted 156 against Cotto. Cotto wanted 155 and got it.
    2. GGG said he'd drop to 154 against Mayweather. 154 is the highest Mayweather has ever fought at. Although GGG would be shedding 6 pounds from 160, he wouldnt be facing a fighter that would rehydrate in the 170s. Also, floyd doesnt have threatening power at 154.
    3. GGG is the mandatory for the WBC title at MW.
    4. Canelo is the heavy A side with his 1 million plus PPV buys in his last fight. He gets to dictate whether we like it or not. Others had to do it, so will GGG if he wants the fight that will propel him to big time leagues.
    5. GGG weighed in at 159 for his last 5 fights. 157 is just two pounds lower. He stays in shape year around. He can make that weight comfortably. If GGG offers 157 RIGHT NOW for the title, and Alvarez avoids that offer, then that makes Alvarez look real bad.

F**K no!! hes milking it already, that man is a full felgded MW!!!! Hes bigger then GGG for reals!!!

Canelo has alot of fans and truly can be great, thats why the man cant be doing all these catch weights ****.

WBC already said they can do a catch weight if they agree but GGG can come in 160 and still win the title because its an offcial weight class. well they said this when Cotto fought Geale, i hope it didnt changed for Canelo since they love the man so much.

just fight at 160 and cut the ****

golovkin will never pull the numbers canelo does. he doesn't have a built in fanbase in the states, like canelo.

"Mayweather WAS NOT MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. End of discussion."

GGG can get the vacated title all he wants. Then what? Fight who? Tureano?
I am a HUGE GGG fan. Ive seen him fight twice live, Rubio and Monroe. However, he is on the cusp of becoming a real star. His PPV flopped. He's 33 turning 34 in a few months. Its now or never for him. Canelo has the draining advantage and he fully intends to use it against GGG. He wont fight GGG at 160. But a 157 counter to the 155 will REALLY put him on the spot. Thats all im saying.

If Canelo vacates/stripped, GGG will fight Lee and become an undisputed champion. After that, Golovkin may move up where there is a bunch of very soft champions. Or he could stay and fight whoever dares to face him.

This isn't just about the money. It's about the fight as well. All the fans want to see GGG vs Canelo. Boxing world desperately wants to see GGG in a real fight with an elite level opponent.

If GGG refuses to fight below 160 he may not get the fight for another 2 years. As for his age, he is right on the cusp where MOST BOXERS DECLINE. DLH retired at 35. Hagler at 35. Wars or not, Father Time is B****

I just want to see the man fight the best. If at 157 then do it. 155 is too low and gets beat while drained.

screw the fight then. take the title and fight Jacobs-Quillen winner which will seell out Barclays easy, fight Lee in Ireland on St pattys day, the man got many options. those wont pay him like the Canelo fight but Canelo will look like the B**ch when he gives up the title

To be fair, Cotto probably weighed at least 160 and was heavily roided.

GGG shouldn't give up a single pound, he is the middleweight champion and that is 160.

It seems whacko to me Cotto-Canelo was for the middleweight crown yet the weight was 1 pound above jr. middleweight.

It's absurd the WBC even allowed this.

Not a anti GGG troll. read my replies ive been to his fights live supporting the man with my hard earned money.

Just want to see him in a good tough fight.
Quillin cant get made due to the PBC issue
Lara cant get made due to the PBC issue
    Lee is easy work
    Saunders wont fight GGG
Who does that leave for GGG to fight at 160? NO ONE
He can move up to 168. Sure he will find tougher challenge up there as those guys are naturally bigger. But still, no stand out challenges.

Canelo is the only fighter remaining that can give GGG his first true super fight. At 160, the vegas odds already have GGG as a 5-1 favorite. At 157, the odds begin to tighten further.

Sure, GGG can stay at 160 and keep beating on everyone. But even I as a big fan will begin to lose interest. His next fight looks to be Tureano Johnson. How can we get excited for that? Johnson is a virtual unknown. Already been stopped by Stevens that got smashed by GGG. Johnson wont survive 6 rounds.

Time for GGG to take a risk and get out of his comfort zone. If he cant make 157 then he shouldnt do it. But he consistently weighed in at 159, so whats 2 pounds for the fight of his life!

GGG has to knock Canelo out to win, as Canelo/DLH always have pocket judges. At 157, Golovkin may not be sharp enough for stopping Canelo.

Im not in favour of ANY catchweights, but if ggg truly wants canelo, he has to agree to canelos dumb demands. Ggg can't go around saying guys won't fight him if he isn't willing to bend. He also looks like a hypocrite for demanding Ward at 164 but saying no to 155. Now the idiots will point out "Canelo is the mw champion, waah" which isnt the point. The point is that ggg offered a cw but won't accept one when he is on the wrong end. Same sh*t, regardless of weight classes. He already said he can safely do 154 for a big fight...doesn't get much bigger than this.
