This thread is about Golovkin at MW. Yes it will be intriguing if he can take a LH punch . A thermometer of whether he can take a LH punch is that his old sparring partner was Koleauv. As from all reports he is too strong for mw sparring partners and Koleauv definetely hits harder than Ward.Though it was a couple years ago from all reports Golovkin dominated and Golovkin has stated he has never been hurt in fights or sparring. I think Golovkin will be like Toney and McCullum and his chin will still be strong at LH.
Tell me Alex What PED' give a fighter a rock solid chin??? If one existed Wilder, Khan etc would be on it LOL. Face it GGG is a FIGHTER!!! He came up the hard way What he's got he EARNED!!!! Same way Pacquaio & Margarito. Youre used to the "silver spoon" types Mayweather, Canelo etc. Cossetted & protected from day 1
Yeah sure; the way Jacobs tested Pirog's chin? Tell jacobs to finally sign up for VADA like the GGG fight contract demands. Still not grug tested the Murican privilege. You should call the media and snitch on Jacobs and VADA for not enforcing Jacobs agreed to testing. That is one thing you are good at; SNITCHING!
Glad someone else notices this about GGG. It's like he has a fist in his neck, that thing don't budge when he takes a punch.
Let's just try and stick to the topic. I see a new account joined on the weekend and has picked up the same tone as some banned members. Anyway - why does everyone have to be one way or the other on his chin? Him 'feeling' shots or stepping backwards when being punched doesn't mean his chin isn't solid. Even Provo has done that and I don't think a Stone Cold Stunner would drop him. By the same token, we have to accept that though he hasn't been properly shook or wobbled, some of these shots will technically be hurting him. Just his chin is definitely good enough to take what has come at him. You can rate Stevens and Lemieux's boxing ability however you like, but their power is legit.
Basically, I give Golovkin a lot of crap but I have no real questions about his chin or power. A larger fighter, (if he ever were to move up) I could maybe see beating on him over a prolonged period and stopping him, Golovkin doesn't strike me as the kind've guy that's gonna get Amir Khan'd in a fight.
Ward can't even beat Kovalev. What the hell would ward do but get dropped multiple times its a mismatch.
