WTF is he problem, if he's willing to drop the weight? Of course anyone who's anything in boxing wants to face the best, and you want to flame the guy for that?

And for you that don't know, GGG knows how to box, way better than Pac for that matter. GGGs amateur record is ridiculous and destroys floyd's, its like 200-4. The guy knows how to win fights and not just by KO. He's not fast, but he's smart and knows where to be and when. This is a great match up, two undefeated fighters, one the P4P and the other a future P4P who has the greatest KO % in middleweight history.
Oscar went upp to face Sturm and Hopkins! Why can't floyd let GGG COME DOWN to face him in his own backyard? This is exciting stuff, who the fuk else is Floyd going to fight? Khan? Cotto rematch? lol

this would only be interesting if Floyd fights at 155ish....

The fight makes sense for floyd. After beating Pac, there is no other welter he feels deserves a fight and he has nothing else to prove. Khan and thurman will make noise but they are just desperate to get that money fight. Neither of them are worthy opponents for Floyd. GGG is a different animal. GGG is bigger and everyone considers him a monster, who has KO'd 19 straight. If Floyd is able to defuse GGG's power and beat him, even Floyd non-fans like me would be impressed. This fight has risk but rewards too.. The other ones are all risk, little reward. Floyd beating Khan and thurman would do little for his legacy.

So GGG is a bum? What's with you guys. Bring it on-154 fight
would straighten Floyd's head lights out and make him human in his last fight
Doubt if he takes this fight

It might prove something to certain fans that actually know who Golovkin is, but to the majority(casuals) no one knows who the hell this guy is. And the more he fights 200 to 1 underdogs, the less popular and relevant he will become.

Who would be a more difficult fight for who from 154 to 168?. If Golovkin, I answered that question. If Mayweather, I believe I answered that except for 168lbs fighters. A move from 160 to 154 is already disastrous, moving down from 168 is pretty much crippling.

Never said he's a bum, but he sure as hell is making a career obliterating bums(with the exception of Murray). Your doubts are right. Mayweather isn't stupid to end his career fighting someone who's biggest win only came recently and his next fight is against a 200 to 1 underdog.

i fail to see how your inability to follow a straightforward post could offend. my main thrust is that the article is a non-story, written on a slow news day, with quotes lifted from an interview where ggg didn't "shamelessly call out superfeathers and welters".

you know full well ggg made no such call-out, and that there are some decent if not stellar names on his resume, yet you prefer to bang on like a member of the chicano / blizz / drenlou brains trust.

as you seem happy to use odds to make your case, could you name the current middleweight over whom ggg wouldn't be an overwhelming favourite?

A fight between Golovkin and Mayweather would be a carbon copy of Norris vs Jackson.

Monroe is a 14-1 or 16-1 underdog on most sports betting websites. You will never see 200-1 odds for a prizefight.

GGG didn't say he's interested in facing Mayweather?(A natural Welterweight).

    http://www.sportsnews24.com/boxing-mma/golovkin-calls-out-mayweather-after-victory-over-adama/1969

GGG didn't say he's interested in facing Pacquiao?

    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2015/03...down-to-154-for-mayweather-or-pacquiao-fight/

GGG didn't say he's interested in facing Alvarez?(A Light Middleweight who's only recently fighting at Middleweight and at the very lightest of the weight category)

    ----

Being a favorite is absolutely fine and nothing new, especially for fighters with the power and aggression of GGG. But 200 to 1?, give me a break. Even Tyson didn't break it that far up when he fought Douglas and wasn't even close.

There is one bookie offering 200 to 1 for this fight.

Read more carefully. Golovkin is 1/200 on which means you'd have to put down 200 pounds on Golovkin just to make 1 pound profit.

Monroe is around 15-1 on average.

Thanks for the clarification. 200 to get 1 you say?, now that's a bargain. Off to the bookies I go.

You again did and have not answered a very simple question. It's okay. I've spent enough time on this.
