Sending a contract to Ward is the same as sending a contract to Haye. The risk of not making this fight and losing time and money is too high.

Ward got rocked by Smith, can you imagine what GGG does?

Are u implying that Kovalev is too high risk low reward for Ward.

    Undisputed LHW Championship.
Career high payday by a wide margin and an automatic leapfrog to #1 p4p.
Plenty of reward for Ward in that fight.

In the meantime.... GGG earns more to fight his interim titlist or the WBA LMW titlist, Lara while he continues to force Cotto and Canelo to hide S of 160

The only risk of GGG going N for Ward is not being able to enforce his mandate on his biitches Canelo Cotto and May

In fairness to Ward, one of his dilemmas with LHW is the same as GGG's dilemma with SMW. Even though most favor the naturally higher weight guy to win, Ward and GGG - or at least their managers - are going to be thinking that their guy has a good chance and have to think about whats next if their guy does win.

For GGG after Ward, with Froch retiring... where do they go from there? If GGG beat Ward, who on earth who had anything to lose would fight GGG unless it was for PPV dollars?

If Ward beat KOvalev, who on earth would fight Ward for anything less than PPV dollars?

They both have a hard enough time as it is getting decent opponents for the money available.

Most fighters these days just arent interested in going for the gusto, though I think its a misguided strategy. Everyone wants to be Floyd and cruise undefeated, but forget Floyd actually fought some hard fights coming up the ranks. These days most fighters want to get the Floyd rewards, without taking the fights he did to earn it.

    Fair and valid points X

Not many legacy builders for either one N.

At their current weight they can wait out the other titlists while continuing their dominance.

Lara fight appears more logical daily. There's no one else who dares.

Lara would be good, but will Haymon let him fight on HBO and will HBO approve him for Golovkin taking into account Lara's unappealing style ?

Just to clarify, you are not of the opinion that GGG has earned a Floyd fight at 154 then?

It really is the logical and deserved fight to make, being realistic and factoring in the landscape.

    Str8 up!

Canelo beats GGG, @155 or 160 or any weight

    Canelo has better....
    Foot work
    Speed
    Defense
    Boxing skill

GGG has better power but thats about it

    GGG has way better power.
    GGG has more experience.
    GGG has impeccable footwork.
I'd also say GGG has more ring IQ.

Canelo wouldn't last five rounds with Golovkin.
