His resume stinks....what do u want me to do about it? It cant be refuted with a straight face .....sorry it hurts I find it hilarious tho when I say people are going to laugh at his career and some guy says "he makes millions of follows and is way more rich than you"? Really ggg fans? Ur gonna pull that card out? When you've all been having your way with mayweather for years ?
But he has tried, even back in 2012 offers were made to Edwin Rodriguez and Adonis Stevenson. Since then offers were made to Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. They also stated they were open to a fight with Sergey Kovalev. Golovkin had signed to fight Dmitry Pirog before most people State-side had even heard of him.
You know that Ward is fighting tune ups, right? Don't answer back with "Bu-but Mike Gurcia did it too doe!":rofl Answer the question. Also, which top 50 list are you looking at? Ring, Boxrec, the one you made out of your own feces?
Froch is 38 and contemplating retirement .....the Chavez fight would have been delivered if arum wasn't too cheap (similar reason floyd left him) ....when the last time Kessler fought?...... Lol at them wanting to fight kovalev .....trust me......they don't want to fight ward..., they want Lil cotto ..., bad..... They only want fights against guys on the way out or guys like chavez......
He can't help it fans overrate him. I don't blame him. I blame fans. Geale was arguable top 50 but I remember taking heat for ranking him as high as I did (top 30) before the Barker defeat.
Murray might be better than Geale to be honest. He certainly did better against Golovkin. Geale landed the world title, but Murray arguably should have done twice (as well as the lineal title).
His resume currently contains no standouts at all IMO. But I honestly don't see anybody who currently threatens him at MW. I think a combination of age and the right opponent (speed and power) beats GGG eventually. If he stays at MW to clear out the division and unify the titles, he's going to be 35-36 years old. By that age and then if he's moving up,he's going to be vulnerable to a loss I feel. Unifying the MW title seems important to him. Currently the other title holders, don't seem to interested in facing him. Everyones out to make money as the champion. You lose that title to GGG, you're not making as much money fighting as the ex MW champion, and it can be a long way back to a title shot. Interested to see how GGG's career plays out.
I got a question for you. Suppose triple g had all the mw belts and unified them all. Would fighters like cotto and so on be more motivated to fight triple g to get the belt back?
I got another question. I heard if cotto avoids triple g, who's the mandatory challenger, that he's forced to vacate his belt and then the no.2 challenger fights triple g instead but what if the no.2 doesn't wanna fight triple g? Then what? What happens to the belt? What happens if the no.2, no.3 and everyone doesn't wanna face triple g? Does Triple g gets the belt by virtue of nobody wanting it cuz they were chicken to fight him? Lol
No, it's about money. They'll go down the rankings until someone agrees. The Argentinian Heiland is actually #1, he'd take the fight. Johnson is #2, he'd take it too.
why did Sturm blatantly avoid fighting GGG for at least 2 years when he was Sturm's mandatory? why did N'Dam refuse to fight GGG on at least 2 occasions? why did Chavez Jr throw away a multi-million payday to fight GGG? why did Martinez's team pretend GGG didn't exist when asked about a possible fight? why can't Peety Quillin still get his story straight when asked about GGG?
Martin Murrey was.he's extremely underated and should've been the undefeated lineal me champ but was robbed against Martinez and Sturm.
