Thanks for at least admitting what some of these "boxing is a business" experts seem to be missing.

GGG or Lara for that matter just dont have enough stroke with their respective network to force this fight.

It could be both promoters have already been told by their network, "nope--dont even think about it."

When looking at a Lara/GGG match up with this in mind, most rationale, reasonable people see it's a waste of time and that NEITHER fighter is ducking the other.

HBO will not pay for a Golovkin/Lara fight.....................Golovkin has good money fights at 160, Saunders, Jacobs, Quillin, Lee, Alvarez, etc., but they refuse to fight him, there are no big money fights at higher weights..........

But yet all the GGG haters immediately point to Lara as a fighter GGG is ducking cause Lara called him out on twitter. Big deal.

And I would bet they will still claim it every few months when Lara yet again starts his Twitter nonsense. Hell, even Lara and his team must know this fight can't happen sobit only leads to one conclusion...Lara just likes the attention of using GGGs name even though he knows the fight is impossible.

There is only one fighter that could get a cross promotion fight right now...and he is retired for the moment.

    Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd is the only guy with enough stroke with the networks to get a fight done with anyone.

GGG could easily move up him and his fan have a fear of it for some reason, while I agree no fighter HAS to move up when you callout 3 divisions there is no excuse for why you shouldn't.

Real talk most of Golovkins fans across the board flip flop and come up with excuse after excuse to basically give Golovkin a pass.
Didn't the last two great MW champs start in there mid 20s in Hopkins & Martinez didn't both move up 3 division's so miss me with that.

Gennandy is an entertaining fighter but isn't what he's made out to be, honestly I don't even think he's being ducked like that, watching an interview today with sanchez and K2 they basically said straight up if they have to pay you 1 mil or close your not getting the the fight anyway.
As a fan I dont understand how people are content getting served up cr@p and rationalise it.

He's just accepted the WBC belt from the 24 year old you're referring to.

Now he has come to the land of opportunity there are no opportunities as everyone ****s around demanding to get paid like a bunch of prima donnas - he then goes to the UK and sells out pronto.

Way to go US boxing scene!

    Everyone's circumstances are different.

Floyd had the frame to continuously move up. His reach is 72" which is bigger than GG's.

I'm absolutely certain that GG will move up, but he wants to achieve his goals at MW first. It may be frustrating for us fans, but you've got to respect his wishes. He only wants to do what a guy like DeGale's doing at SMW.

It's abundantly clear that they don't want to fight him at this point.

I'm certain he'll move up. But he's said recently that he'll not commit to it until he's accomplished his MW goals.

Bernard waited 6 years to unify and he only moved up after he'd lost to Taylor twice and there was nowhere else to go.

We know that GG is being ducked by Canelo/Oscar, Jacobs and BJS.

I don't believe he will even consider moving up at least until he breaks the record.

Let's say he did move up now. What's yhe point? Why not stay at MW and break the record.

If he moves up now, he'll get criticized much like RJJ for moving up when there were other fights to make or avoiding g guys

If GGG moves up now, they'll say he didnt clean out the division before moving up and/or he didnt fight the best in the division before moving up.

His best move is to break the record then move up. I have stated before, the MW record sets his legacy. Whether anyone here likes it or not, the record is what the sports writers and boxing historians at the HOF will write about.
