Derevyanchenko ducked Andrade, they were supposed to split $500,000 even at $250,000 each but he wanted more.

No they didn't. Hahaha. They officially proposed the deal to the NSAC and were shot down!

Korobov and 3G negotiated for the april 2016 fight. Just didn't come to an agreement apparently.

That was because the IBF jumped in and ordered the Wade mandatory before negotiations were complete.

I am pretty sure they would have eventually come to an agreement.

Is it fact that it transpired that way? What were the IBF ratings at the time, any idea?

That's my recollection ... Although I didn't look it up I'm fairly certain. To give the full story, the IBF ranks were:
    1. Johnson
    2. Empty
    3. Wade
    4. Murata
    5. Derevyanchenko

The IBF ordered Golovkin vs Johnson first. Johnson then pulled out injured, and so the mandatory shot fell to the next highest contender who was Wade.

Thanks! My biggest hope for this next fight for 3G is, he turns it round quickly to another date. it'll make all this squabbling pointless.

Overhyping Derevyanchenko, don't be shocked if he doesn't seem too impressive against higher competition.

Standout amateur. Looks solid and wrecks through his competition like a boss. I say he gives all the top guys trouble

Well, he didn't really "wreck" his competition like a boss, go watch the Tureano Johnson fight for instance. Also, go and look at that Brian Castano fight too, the one he lost a few years ago in WSB. I reckon he'd be a champ at 154, I don't know about 160 lol.

Well the NSAC wouldn't approve Manguia as an opponent for GGG, and I don't think Derevchenko would be a worthy replacement for a PPV fight either. I think HBO needs to scrap the idea of GGG headlining a PPV and instead put him on WCB!

Sure, he unloaded heavy punishment on him, but boxing wise that fight was pretty bad by Derevyanchenko. I see him being a champion at 154, but not at 160, he's shorter in both height and reach compared to most elite guys in the division. Especially if he fights Golovkin, who has a 1.5 height advantage, and a 2.5 reach advantage.
