lol Who do you think has the better chin?

With the exception of Mora, Jacobs has been knocked down by legit KO artists so its hard to say his chin is glass exactly.

Golovkins chin is slightly suspect in my opinion because the only person who really tested it was Kell Brook and he's a welterweight. He let powder puff punchers like Monroe and Wade have a free market on his chin. This proves how underrated his defense really is he is probably top 5 in terms of defence in the sport in my opinion. Behind Rigo, Lomachenko, Ward and Lara. We are yet to see GGG take a clean punch from someone unless he lets them.

That Brook uppercut was legit. GGG took it well though.

I can't tell if you're serious. Golovkin's durability is obviously better.

Im a GGG fan, but also a Brook fan.

When Brook survived the broken orbital from GGGs first L hook landed in rd 1, I found myself rooting for him, and getting on the edge of my seat during every exchange thinking, shiiit.....if he can survive thru the 7th, he might just find a way to win this fight down the stretch.

That said......Brook weighed in at what, 176, on the night, 4lbs heavier than GGG.
And GGG just blitzkreiged him from the opening bell taking whatever Brook was able to throw.
And yeah, that UC was delish.
Just that GGG ate it, and asked for dessert.

I don't really get to see as much boxing as I would like, so I hadn't seen too much of kell before this. He impressed me a lot with his heart and skill. I reckon he will go places still. I reckon that he'd give Canelo all he could handle

I will say this. When Brook backed GGG up to the ropes and ran those combos on him, GGG was unnerved.

He'd beat Canelo, and apart from Chavez Jr, Kell would be by far the BIGGEST fighter Yeller ever faced.

Yeller is bigger than GGG, and his best win is over Austin Trout, who Nilson Tapia beat more thoroughly.

Jacobs has a confirmed Glass Jaw. Nothing to really discuss.

I think Golovkin and Brook were in the 168 range fight now, with Brook actually being less than half a pound heavier or something. After Charlo vs Williams I don't trust fight night weights, but that was a different network so it may not mean anything.

Brook said the break occurred in the second round. We have no way of telling what round it happened in exactly. I figured it had to be the third since that it when his accuracy turned to **** and he kept touching his eye.

That doesn't prove anything lol. The reason I doubt the break happened in the first is because Brook had his best round in the second. With the orbital break you'd be seeing double and your vision would be too ****ed to land punches with that type of accuracy. I assumed it had to have happened in the third round, but Brook said it was the second and he would have the best account of that.

    Yeah.
Tough for any of us to say really, but yeah, the 2nd rd was clearly Kells best, and in the 3rd, GGG dropped him, and after that, it started getting one sided with the exception of lead R and the check L.

But....that L hook in the 1st.......IMO, it caused the injury, but b/c of adrenaline, he probably noticed the pain around the 2nd rd when he backed GGG up a couple times with counters and combos.
So...to him, it was in the 2nd, but to me it was the 1st, and it became noticeable to anyone watching, including Paulie, that it was broke in the 3rd when he started pawing at it.

    F/N great fight though.
Im just a little pissed that it's been since Sept that either one has had a fight.

Both shoulda already been back in the ring, or in Brooks case, at least had a fight scheduled.

But I guess it'll work out wiht Mallows move to MW and his vacating Brooks LMW title, so Kell can go N and resume a HOF career.

That's a fair assumption. Clearly Brook was hurt bad in the first and I could see your argument about the adrenaline but that's not going to help your vision. The worst thing about an orbital break isn't the pain but instead is the way it distorts your vision. I always said since that fight happened that the break occurred in the third when he got knocked down but it was ruled a slip. Who knows, for we all we know you're right and it came from the first solid hook that landed in the first round lol.

Brook CAN'T get back in the ring until Spring I think. Spring or summer, one of the two. At any rate, I imagine that it is hard to schedule a fight for him right now since no one is sure exactly when he's going to be able to fight in the first place. I'm sure he isn't even sparring yet since there is always the chance of the break happening again if he rushes it (I think, I'm not a doctor so I could very easily be wrong there). Brook is going to a FORCE at 154 though. I'm excited. Part of me really wants him to lose to Spence so he moves up to 154.

Part of me wants him to tell the IBF to eat a dikk after he smashes Harrison to bits and wins their LMW title.

At LMW, he could line up a fight with Culcay and force Lara into the ring, taking the WBA title, then dropping the IBF title b/c for whichever reason they decided he needs to fight every IBF #1 but allow their other titlists 18 months between mandatories.
