Who wins this one? Chavez is strong and I still think Golovkin is a bit overrated. Who wins it and how? I will put a poll.

chavez jr, he'd engulf GGG, he's the only ''middleweight'' with a genuine shot at beating GGG, jr comes into a fight at 185+lbs

Chavez has 3 stoppages in his last 12 fights. If he stands in front of Golovkin, Golovkin will chop that ass down.

Chavez has too much confidence that he can take whatever thrown at him like his dad.

That would be fatal against GGG.

Well its interesting, more so than the Martinez fight as both fighters are very similar

Chavez has the better handspeed and footwork without a doubt but despite being the bigger of the two in size he doesnt have the one punch knockout power Golovkin has bizarrely enough and he is more conservative choosing to pick his shots aswell as showing a possibly better chin (although too early to tell)

Other than that they are pretty much the same fighter, they both get hit easily and plod around the ring stalking their fighter.

Its too early to tell yet with Golovkin, he scored a sweet KO over Ishida and given how durable Ishida has been vs Williams and Pirog recently it was impressive and easily Golovkins best win

Chavez on the other hand wears a fighter down as we havent seen him score huge knockouts like Golovkin, but his punches do wear a fighter down as we saw with Lee, Manfredo and even Martinez but thats mostly due to the fact he comes into the ring around 180 and has tested positive for diuretics before (and Marijuana  )

    Speed - Chavez
    Footwork - Chavez
Chin - Equal (to early to tell)
    Power - Golovkin
    Chin - Golovkin

This is the most equal fight in the 160 division (I think Martinez would dominate Golovkin but seeing how Chavez was able to wear Martinez down late Golovkin has a very realistic punchers chance) but sadly its not going to be made for quite some time, if ever

Chavez is suspended for 9 months and would most likely take a tune up fight but given all his time off and his work ethic I doubt were going to see Chavez back at 160 on his return and if we do theres a possibility that he would be draining himself, therefore Id have to pick Golovkin by late round corner stoppage due to swelling/cuts/broken jaw caused by the accumalative effects of Golovkins punches as well as the ring rust and weight effecting Chavez but Ill make an official prediction when we see Golovkin step up and Chavez return

  6. There is no need for any of those threads .. GGG ins unbeatable.

190lb Chavez versus triple G. I would favor the GGG, but they would both get beat up and hit hard.

Triple G by KO. Golovkin has by far the better skills and also the power. Chavez won't beat Golovkin on his toughness alone. Don't think his chin can take 12 rounds of bombs from a murderous puncher.

Chavez is strong, but he's no KO artist. Golovkin's chin looks decent and his defense is underrated. Chavez will be absorbing power shots from a huge puncher from the get go. I don't think he could sustain such a beating for 12 rounds.

Chavez is too hittable and GGG is faster, and has superior accuracy, power, combination punching, and timing. Chavez is bigger and stronger than GGG, but that's it.

Target practice for Golovkin, who beats the tar out of Jr. en route to a late stoppage. And I like Chavez Jr. too.
