When are you Ward fans going to stop calling out guys from lower weights? For the time being, GGG is maxed out at middleweight. It would be stupid to step up to fight Ward. They are just too far apart (now) in size. As GGG ages he may fill out more and then a fight with Ward would make sense. But not now.

Hey, why don't you call out Kovalev for your boy Ward, or Stevenson? Don't want to do that, do you? Why not? Just one weight difference and Ward could definitely easily put on the weight.

It makes no sense. On one hand, they call him overhyped and unproven, saying GGG fights nothing but bums, but on the other, they're so eager to pull him up before he cleans the division out and fights Martinez.

I've never seen fans so eager to lobby for a fight in which they've basically guaranteed their own fighter no credit for winning.

How so? Macklin and Stevens made 300k. Thats 3x what Quillin's opponents make. Remember Rosado was offered 75k

He doesn't grow from that. He doesn't even lift weights, right?

Don't know. Don't follow Golovkin that closely. Is that the word, that he doesn't lift weights? Most good fighters don't lift. Or if they do it is not to bulk up, just tone.

My only point was, Ward is the bigger man. Clearly, Ward could put on weight. He looks like he has to work to make weight. GGG does not appear to have to work to make weight. It looks very natural on him. I would imagine his walk around weight is not much different than his fight weight.

That being the case, the more logical fights for Ward, if he is going to fight in another weight class, would be up, not down.

Some lean weight on Gennady and they make a great fight.

Ward is feather-fisted and Gennady has dropped Kovalev in sparring.

Yeah, now that I checked it was some poster(s) on scene and Testosterone Nation that pushed that rumor. Fking shills.

Abel would've spilled it out right there if it were true.

Kovalev and GGG are also friends, which might have something to do with why they did not mesh well training. Not even from the "I dont want to hit my pal" aspect, but more from the over familiarity with each others styles and habits.

Everyone knows GGG can hit. And I would be surprised if both GGG and Kovalev hadnt taken a knee after a hard shot in sparring with each other at some point.
