Not enough demand for this fight to happen. Why?

    Of course there's enough demand.
When things like that are said there's always another reason.

Martinez will be out with injuries for a long time. Let Golovkin fight Broner, Void, etc.

Golo may be able to establish himself as middleweight champ without
forcing sergio to fight. Beat macklin tommorrow scary and then KO
Quillen or Geale/Barker winner end of '13 or start of '14 and he won't
need martinez. Everyone who's anyone will acknowledge him as champ.

It's hard to say for sure, but it's starting to look like Sergio has got old fast.

He's a great champ who battled his way up the hard way, but based on the Murray fight, he ain't got much left.

It's a fight I woulda loved to see this year or last, but I gotta feeling if they were to meet next year, Sergio might get hurt bad. The guy kinda needs to start thinking about hanging them up with his dignity intact. He has nothing left to prove. Perhaps one last payday fight (I'd suggest Jnr, but I can't see him making MW much longer) then a career in the commentary box if he feels like it.

I think Sergio is done at the highest level. His win over Chavez was probably his last great performance. Without his legs, GGG would just walk him down. But i would still like to see it assuming Martinez looks good in a tune up. I think it can still garner a lot of interest.

OMG here we go again. You have one hell of a one track mind. Your views have nothing to do with boxing. I've known you for 12 years and your views have not changed a bit. Most people just ignore you. But I'm calling you on your hate Mr Castefootball. Golovkin is untested. We all know why you could not help bringing Broners name on this thread.

Martinez is old right now and he had/has some severe injuries. His great times were when he beat Pavlik, Williams and Jr ! Anyway for a guy who started boxing at 20, it's almost unbelievable what he succeeded to accomplish. He's a great champion and a great person and he should get Canelo (after Canelo fights Floyd ) for a last big payday before his retirement.

Right now, Golovkin would be too much for Sergio, even Jr would beat badly Sergio in rematch.

It's time we talk about the elephant in the room. Pretty obvious by now GGG is the guy to dethrone Martinez.

Not sure why you really want to see the beast in the division KO an older guy who has fought his heart out vs everyone his whole career? :huh
