Thank you. One sane person. This has ALWAYS been close to 50-50 (GGG slight favorite) in the eyes of any fair and balanced poster who's actually seen a good deal of both as pros, since it first started to be discussed.
How one sided is this poll, not representing their individual talents at all. Judging on Golovkins last fight there is good chance of being outboxed. As far as I can see as long as Ndam can keep from getting clocked too badly, he will win.
I agree, it's not really fair for some to say N'Dam doesn't have a chance based on a few lapses he's had when Golovkin was given all he could handle by a past it Ouma.
Saying that N'Dam has had only one disappointing performance since becoming a sort-of-titlist doesn't sound too impressive since he's had exactly three fights at that level. Also, besides the out-of-ring fiasco, don't forget the handwrap shenanigans with Lorenzo as well :-( Also, while I think you are right with respect to the two fighters' resumes and performances, N'Dam's utter disinterest in making the fight might be leading many people to favor Golovkin. N'Dam wouldn't even mention his name in the buld-up to and aftermath of the Lorenzo fight. Granted Golovkin is unlikely to bring a great deal of money, but he seems like the only one who's ever displayed the slightest bit of interest in this fight (the same applies to N'Dam's attitude towards a Khurtsidze rematch).
N'Dam wants to stay in France and cash big paychecks with little risk. Golovkin wants big fights in the U.S. and is getting top sparring with other excellent contenders and champions. Why again should I not think Golovkin would win???
Faire enough, IB. :hat You're right, I may exagerated it a little bit but in some french forums, he's seen as a superstar with his paper belt, which is ridiculous. atsch
I actually see Golovkin as biggest flop that I had. His inability to focus and poor training camps is something to be mentioned. He looked AWESOME as amateur but it seems he just can't fully adjust to professionals and it is disturbing. On other hand Silakh adjusted perfectly to pros and I didn't expect that. I think he have to change his trainer and I would think Roach is the man to go. I would also like to see him with Tommy Brooks(i always high on him). He need proper defense-offence schooling. It seems that he can't succeed in both during fight and that's why I would give N'dam good chance(even though I'm not that high on him).
I really like Golovkin in this fight - he's a very good boxer with two-fisted power. I think, in Paris, he needs to win by ko. Unless he gets over-excited in looking for the ko, I think he'll handle N'kijam who always seems more flash than substance to me. I've been looking forward to this fight for a while though and I'll just be happy if it actually happens.
Nice post, IB. I really like N'Dam's style. Very loose and fluid. He looks like a very solid boxer with good footwork, stamina, head movement, etc. That said I believe he may very well take a decision here. I haven't seen as much of Golovkin as I should have by now, I just know that he's still a little green and from what I've seen of N'Dam, he would be a handful for just about anyone except maybe Sergio Martinez.
Golovkin over the full distance in a potentially great fight. This fight has been talked about. But it hasn't been signed yet has it?
N'Dam has been dodging Golovkin for some time, would like to see it happen and we will see if N'Dam has a chin also.!!!!!
Golovkin is back out on September 17th. Opponent hasn't been announced and it's on in Kazakhstan so I can't imagine it being anyone special. Still nice to see him staying busy.
